Independent Peruvian Highlands hotels

"The staff are super friendly and helpful, which is really the biggest draw...plus the view. From our room, you could see the river and the Andes - it was amazing to wake up and open the windows to that sight. There is an elevator, which is a plus and not something every hotel in the area has. There is a sizeable breakfast buffet and you can also order eggs to your preference. There's a water cooler in the lobby for refilling water bottles and they have complimentary umbrellas as well. The entrance to the hot spring They were originally going to meet us at the train station, but our train was delayed, so they sent a message after we departed informing us that we would have to make it to the hotel ourselves. We were also only given one bath towel for 2 people, and when I went to the lobby to request another one, they told me I'd have to wait an hour as they were currently doing laundry, but they would bring it to our room - they never brought us the 2nd towel. The last thing that could really use improving is that there was no hot water...we ran the shower for probably 5 minutes to see if it would warm up, but it was ice cold, and stayed ice cold through 2 people showering. So an ice cold shower without a towel was not the most fun. On the plus side, they have blow dryers so we were able to dry off and warm up that way. "

"Rooms were clean but cold and if you want heat you will have to pay more. Breakfast was okay. A kettle or mini fridge in room would have been nice. There was alot of road noise and some dogs barking as it seems like a busy area. Overall it was an just ok stay."

"Excellent historic hotel in the heart of Cusco. Close proximity to shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. Hotel staff was excellent and addressing all our needs from cleaning, transportation, excursions and had a great early breakfast."

"Great breakfast buffet and have some variety everyday. Great location right next to San Pedro market. The outlets in room were very loose, closet was broken. The windows are very thin so you can hear everyone and our room was right next to the stairs so we heard when people were going up and down. No elevator. Great value though."
