「My husband and I stayed for two nights while dropping our daughter off at Virginia Tech. I was slightly nervous, as the description of the house said rustic (in all caps). We were very pleasantly surprised. The house had a ton of character, and the property was beautiful. We enjoyed sitting outside listening to the creek, and watching the cows go by. The house was very comfortable, and clean. Unfortunately, we did not meet Daffy the duck. Hopefully next time, we plan to come back!」

「Our 4 night stay was wonderful, the inside has been recently renovated albeit it looks like some work is still being done in certain areas. It certainly did not deter from the overall experience and the owners have done a great job with the improvements thus far. The kitchen is amazing for cooking and entertaining. The house has an in-line water heater which was nice! The location is 45 minutes from Winterplace ski resort and about a 15 min car ride to most retail restaurant establishments. ...

「This property provides a wonderful riverside stay on the New River right on the river with easy access and easy parking right in front of the cabin efficiency. Close access to to the Whitehorne Boat Ramp for those the need a ramp as well as the scenic McCoys Falls right up Rt 625. Communication and instructions was excellent to plan our arrival and stay for the weekend.We look forward to coming back again this summer.」

「Honestly looks better than the pictures. Comfy beds and plenty of open space. The arcade games were a huge bonus. Only one bathroom downstairs, but we made do. Bring water or filter pitcher, it was well water.」

「Loved this cabin. Loved the rustic feel. Loved the property. Loved the creek. We brought a hammock and relaxed all day, reading books. Saw deer every day and night. Our dog was in heaven. The bed was comfy and the sheets were so soft. Moncove State Park was 25 mins away. Perfect for relaxing while my partner fished! Amy is a WONDERFUL host. I enjoyed meeting her sister, Cookie, who made us feel so welcome! Will definitely be back.」
