"The hotel has a beaitiful view of Mt Etna. Whilst we were there it was erupting and we could see the ash clods in the day and the lava flows at night, The parking is off road oposite the entrance. Breakfast was lovely. Staff are all super helpful. The air condition in the room sounded like an aircaft taking off so we didn't get much sleep. The room was billed as a suite but it wasn't what we woul dcall a suite in the UK. It was a large hotel room with a double bed and a sofa bed"
TAORMINA VILLA IBISCUS ALCANTARA

"Beautiful gardens and pool area, with shade under a couple of the trees plus in the barbeque area. The villa itself is small but was comfortable and had everything we needed (including a bumper welcome pack plus towelling covers for the sunbeds - brilliant idea, not seen these before on any of our previous villa holidays!). We had cause to contact Claudia a couple of times, due to issues beyond her control (nearby fire, and then a power cut) and on both occasions she responded very quickly and passed on information, plus ensured we knew where to find the lamp/torch - both of which thankfully were in working order."

"A very difficult road to the house. I recommend a SUV. The houses are fine and clean. The pool area is very nice. A beatiful view. The master bedroom in Sol natura needs a larger bed."

"The room was nice with a balcony and a view from the bed to the mountains. The pool is lovely with a view through the valley to the sea. Breakfast was good, dinner served in the garden was great. It is a lovely rural location in an orchard. The staff and the owners were wonderful."

"Our stay at Shalai was outstanding from start to finish. We received a warm welcome from a genuinely friendly and professional team. The hotel is set in a beautifully restored historic mansion on a quiet street, creating a peaceful and elegant atmosphere. Check-in was effortless. Our online check-in was fully recognized, so there was no need to repeat the process. No credit card was requested and payment was deferred until checkout, which was a pleasant surprise. The reception staff kindly introduced us to the hotel, showing the restaurant, lounge areas and spa services. Our room was spotless and very comfortable, with a king-size bed, excellent linens and towels, high-quality amenities, and complimentary water, coffee and tea. The bathroom was spacious and the shower had perfect water pressure and temperature. Although the hotel has no elevator, reaching the first-floor rooms via two short flights of stairs was easy. There is no private parking, but plenty of free street parking is available nearby, including spaces directly in front of the hotel. Breakfast was excellent, offering fresh fruit, yogurt, drinks and coffee, while all hot dishes are prepared à la carte, with delicious options such as croissants, eggs, omelets and sandwiches. The staff was consistently attentive, welcoming and professional. Our only suggestion would be to include hair conditioner among the bathroom amenities. Apart from that small detail, everything exceeded our expectations."

"Staff were great and very helpful, Though we found we got better/faster responses to questions when emailing directly versus using expires messenger. The breakfast was wonderful with lots of options. We also ate an evening meal there and it was delicious. Centrally located for for exploration of the etna region. Room was very clean. Would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to a friend"

"Wij hebben een geweldig verblijf gehad op Sicilië. Dit huis is heel charmant en ligt in een postkaart. Ondanks het frisse water hebben we in april toch al gebruik gemaakt van het zwembad. Mimmo, de host was heel behulpzaam. De omgeving is fantastisch. Met zicht op de bergen en de zee, start je je dag elke ochtend met een glimlach."

"Casa Donna Franco was a beautiful location to tour around Castiglione di Sicilia. Our host connected us to her daughter who speaks English to meet us for checkin. She was patient and communicative and gave helpful suggestions for where to eat around town. The views from each room and patio were amazing and the weather allowed us to maximize our time on the outdoor patio. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for daily breakfasts. The little market up the hill had everything we needed for our stay and the town had everything within walking distance. Parking was nearby and Google Maps was not helpful in getting us to the square to where we parked. Google took on the narrow roads that Maria was trying to help us avoid by using the larger road. Maria’s advice was helpful and got us to the right road in the end."
