"Miramonti is conveniently located with free parking. The breakfast was a value, the room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly, although they spoke no English (which we don't feel is a necessity). "

"We were in two rooms below ground level, which were quiet, but no airflow. One room had a shower that was too small for an adult. They were clean and relatively comfortable otherwise. Breakfast was pastry and yogurt. We were able to park in one of the garages, otherwise, parking could be difficult. The location is awesome - very hard to find initially - it looks like it’s impossible to get to, but once you know, you know. Guessing that their other rooms may be nicer."

"Mitten in historischer Altstadt. Gut für Globetrotter, schlecht mit Fahrzeug. Wir hatten ein muffiges Erdgeschosszimmer, kleines Fenster für Luft, aber kaum Licht. Wollten extra "Übernachtungs-Tax" abrechnen. Null Englischenntnis."

"The food is extremely good, and the stay exceptional value for money. The hotel is the perfect location for hikes around Castelmezzano, and the ‘must-do’ zip-line across the valley of course"

"This hotel was booked mainly on price but after booking in, we decided to stay for the week.
Potenza is a lovely little town with all kinds of bars and restaurants where you will meet interesting, friendly people.
I would post photos but they say they are too big.

The hotel is close to everything you need without having to walk for more than a few minutes and has few tourists. Great museum, which Vittorio allowed us to visit while it was supposedly closed, great...

"We had such a lovely time. Hosts were amazing, rooms were clean and comfortable.
Was so much fun walking around the farm and visiting all the animals, especially for anyone travelling with kids.
Would definitely stay here again."

"in 44 years of traveling around the world this was the worse and demeaning Hotel experience ever had( payment was made in advance BTW )! i cannot say anything about the accommodations because i never made it in!!! After an exhausting and temultuous
trip to Potenza , my only concern was checking in , resting down my heavy luggage and preparing etc etc!
however when i approached the door and tried to enter , there was no response or answer, i
also tried to call a dozen times to no response!

Dramatic stone houses cling to mountainsides in this medieval village where you can soar between peaks on the 'Flight of the Angel' zipline. Hike ancient paths through the Lucanian Dolomites and visit the 13th-century fortress for panoramic views of Basilicata's rugged landscape.
"Lovely modern, clean and bright rooms with good coffee. Location is perfect for exploring this lovely town. We had the odd luxury of staying in every room due to an unexpected extension in Potenza and the warmth and kindness of the owners and the community surrounding them during our stay here exceeded any expectation. "
"We arrived late on a Sunday in a heavy downpour. The town is very remote and there were zero options to eat anywhere or not even any supermarket. The owner originally said that his restaurant was closed on Sundays, but then felt bad for us and opened it just for us. The meal was great and he only charged us 53 euros for a dinner with wine. That was very reasonable although he could've taken advantage of our situation and charged us significantly more. The town though has nothing to offer other than a great view of the mountains "
"Staff was very kind and helpful.
The hotel location is far from the city centre and no good places to eat.
There was a convenience store at the gas station called Autogrill which was open and had limited options."

Great museum, which Vittorio allowed us to visit while it was supposedly closed, great pizza bars and the most amazing tiny local restaurant, Da Vincento, look it up, I am not going to give away all my secrets.
Anyway, if you want to escape the heat, head for this delightful mountain town.
Highly recommended."
