The 60 steps/stairs to the apartment were challenging for my 83 y/o mother but the view was rewarding. Beds were firm and kitchen was small but had everything needed to cook a meal. 「We booked a room with balcony and stayed for 2-night. The room has a very comfy design and is maintained in good condition. Everyday they arrange room clean-up. The Scalini Palace is located in an excellent location, very close to the Main Street, taking us just a few steps to Stradun. It’s esp convenient if you want to take nice photos of old town in very early morning. No lift, same as many other hotels/apartments in the old town, so you have to walk upstairs to the floor you stay....

「We arrived early and felt very welcome from the start. They greeted us with wine and cake and the owner picked some grapes for us right off the vine. Once inside the place was spotless and very roomy. The village nearby had a great pizza and pasta restaurant and was only a short walk. We stayed one night as we were flying out the next day and the owner drove us to the airport ten minutes away. I highly recommend this place.」
