The hotel itself as well as the entire property is beautiful and well maintained. Beds were comfortable, rooms clean, food was good. Prices were exorbitant for literally everything. Most are across Scotland and the UK. The real issue we encountered, was certain staff were distasteful and had an obvious distain for foreigners. We come from Texas, I brought my dad here for his 68th birthday as a surprise to see our homeland. Mirela and her sidekick (short dark hair and blue eyes) openly pointed and snickered at us during our $200 dinner (on may 1st at 6pm - for management to look into). I can only guess they assumed we were a couple? Either way it was very disheartening and extremely rude. I hope management takes this seriously because we will not be recommending this place to any of our friends or family due to this disrespect. Spending over $1,000 for a 2 night stay, I would expect a much higher caliper of class. With that said, most other staff was kind and helpful. The front desk clerk may need to work on her poker face to help hide her disdain for travelers as well. Angi I believe.

Beautiful hotel and gardens with a bar and restaurant on-site. We had a lovely time wandering the grounds with a cocktail and even felt a bit like royalty. A breakfast buffet was included and had great options. The rooms are a little older and dated - it was hot in the room - because I don’t think we had a/c - but they were very clean and the beds were comfortable. (Make sure you check out the hotel museum in the basement - it’s really interesting!

Hotel was beautiful and included breakfast was good. If you want to eat there, reserve your table way ahead of time - restaurant is small for the hotel size and they only serve dinner for 2 hours each night. Lighted mirror didn't work and the pump marked "lotion" was filled with hand soap instead, but otherwise excellent. Oh, there were no outlets by the bedside tables, we both use cpap devices and had to borrow extension cords from the front desk which they did have available thankfully.

The room was clean and comfortable but very dark, nothing like that shown on the website. There was no information about the hotel or surroundings in the room or anywhere on display in the hotel. The pool area did not appear to be cleaned regularly as the same pieces of paper and leaves were on the floor by the jacuzzi and steam rooms for the 5 days we were there. The hotel grounds were pleasant for walking with lots of trails but poorly signed.

Location and provision of Garden Room 723 was excellent with private parking , fenced garden and direct access to garden and a patio with a seat/table (nt season to sit out) Well equipped room with a full, well equipped kitchen, spacious, beyond our expectation's. Food in Bar was excellent quality and value, food and overall experience in restaurant was 8/10, due staff experience, order mistakes. Location great for dog walks in grounds and locally, short walk or drive to town centre, which was thriving and busking, unlike many town centres these days. Comparing to Crieff hydro,similar quality resort but we now prefer the APH!

Check-in went well, staff helpful and friendly. Dead insect on window sill, but room appeared to be tidy, maybe empty for a while. We arrived at the Atholl Palace Hotel with high expectations. We loved the idea of staying at a castle for a couple of days and enjoy the atmosphere and scenery. Although the staff and scenic views were great, unfortunately our stay was spoiled by a series of events. First night we went to the bar restaurant on premises and the food was edible at best, also overpriced. Leaving the restaurant and heading towards our room on the 3rd floor, the elevator broke and we had to carry some of our bags 3 flights up (we had two 5 year olds with us as well). Arriving at the room my daughters found 3 sets of dirty underwear right next to the bed. Second day, I tried taking a shower and there was virtually no water pressure. It was as if water was passing through a couple of straws. Moving on later that day we were sitting by one of the fire places when the owner appeared from the restaurant and very subtly told us to go somewhere else as he wanted to the sitting area there for some of his guests. My friends booked the same rooms at the same price and their room was clean, bigger and never they encountered any of the things my family and I did. The staff sent us an apology note and a bottle of Prosecco. Although a nice gesture, our stay was horrible. I did communicate all the above at check out and I was told someone would reach out to me but that never happened. Very unfortunate!
