Had a great time and the room was very nice. We requested two beds and it was one but they corrected it quickly. The dinner and breakfast were excellent. The grounds and the hotel are beautiful. Had a great time later on with the entertainment.

The building is obviously old but has been well looked after and is clean. Bed was comfortable and the buffet breakfast was excellent! Signage approaching the hotel could be clearer as well as inside the hotel.

From check in right through to check out the staff were excellent. Fonbas Suite was lovely and comfortable with views to dream of. Sitting room upstairs was very well stocked for coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Milk and bottled water also supplied. Bedroom was very comfortable and a good size. Breakfast was buffet style but had a plentiful supply of hot foods. Bar was busy and entertainment on the friday night. The hotel has had a lot of cosmetic decor changes too. As always we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A place to relax and enoy yorself in lovely surroundings. The gardens are beautifully maintained.

The location of the hotel is perfect. If you’re looking for grand old style than this hotel is for you. The staff were so nice and helpful. Particularly those working in the Bar. They couldn’t do enough to help us. The food in the bar was absolutely delicious and the breakfast in the morning and plenty of choice. The only drawback of the hotel is that the windows do not open in the bedrooms or the bathroom. This meant when we checked into our room, it was so stuffy it was oppressive. Also, our mattress was sloping downwards from toe to head. We only stayed there one night so we lived with it.
