Beautiful hotel and gardens with a bar and restaurant on-site. We had a lovely time wandering the grounds with a cocktail and even felt a bit like royalty. A breakfast buffet was included and had great options. The rooms are a little older and dated - it was hot in the room - because I don’t think we had a/c - but they were very clean and the beds were comfortable. (Make sure you check out the hotel museum in the basement - it’s really interesting!

What a quaint and lovely stay we had at the Atholl Palace. This was our only trip into the highlands on this Scottish vacation and it felt like a mini retreat. The scenery was beautiful. We explored all of the footpaths. The staff were very friendly, attentive and worked very hard. The atmosphere was coorie. From relaxing walks to veranda meals to a glass of wine or pot of tea by one of the many fires and sitting areas throughout the lounge and halls. We will definitely come back. A nice walk into Pitlochry.

Slight mix up with room key but quickly and easily resolved. Floor boards on floor 3 landing very creaky, impossible to sneak to bed quietly at gone midnight. Staff pleasant breakfast excellent.

Hotel was beautiful and included breakfast was good. If you want to eat there, reserve your table way ahead of time - restaurant is small for the hotel size and they only serve dinner for 2 hours each night. Lighted mirror didn't work and the pump marked "lotion" was filled with hand soap instead, but otherwise excellent. Oh, there were no outlets by the bedside tables, we both use cpap devices and had to borrow extension cords from the front desk which they did have available thankfully.

Room was great, modern bathroom too for an old hotel. The spa area was a bit disappointing though, the whole area was chilly and the sauna & steam room were both very cold.

Had an issue w/ washing machine, advised they’d resolve, delayed their help then apologized they had forgotten about me after 40+ minutes of my original request. Requested extra towels for room and had to ask twice. Tv in room was stationary at 3’ - 4’ off the floor and only viewable from left side of bed. Woman at desk who took our added towel request blamed the non-delivery on other staff vs taking responsibility for her lack of follow up. Will advise friends planning to make a similar trip like ours to absolutely avoid this place

The room was clean and comfortable but very dark, nothing like that shown on the website. There was no information about the hotel or surroundings in the room or anywhere on display in the hotel. The pool area did not appear to be cleaned regularly as the same pieces of paper and leaves were on the floor by the jacuzzi and steam rooms for the 5 days we were there. The hotel grounds were pleasant for walking with lots of trails but poorly signed.
