Overall fantastic stay. Comfortable and clean. Minor criticism would be a lack of towels for our group of 7. Really a small thing however. Great location for a concert at Ppg and night life after.

Beautiful City

Fresh & Modern

Chic, modern, clean, comfortable, and with plentiful amenities. Every guest said their bed was one of the most comfortable they’ve slept in, and sound machines provided comforting white noise. Bonus of having ideal location.

This home is beautiful! Extremely clean!!! I loved how easy it was to walk to Carson Street and enjoy the flats! The bedrooms are private from each other making it nice for all that are staying. Enjoy the outside living space, it ROCKS! You will enjoy your stay. It was great being on the South Side once again.

Weekend in Pittsburgh

The home was very modern looking and very clean. Comfortable bed and bedding. The temperature over the weekend was in the 90s and the upstairs was much warmer than the rest of the house. Parking is first come and the area was definitely hopping over the Labor Day weekend.

Great Stay

We had a great stay at Carson St Manor. This was our second stay (4 adults) and the house has become our rental of choice for stays in Pittsburgh while visiting family. It is a great, central location for easily getting around various parts of Pittsburgh and the surrounding area. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and management listened to our comments from our last stay and improved the minor inconveniences we mentioned last year. Obtaining the digital parking pass was easy and quick, all done online, the parking is street parking. All appliances worked well, the house was clean, and communication with management was quick and efficient, both before our stay and during (we had an issue, on our end it appears, with getting in the house when we first arrived, but it was remedied in minutes. The house is well equipped with amenities and the departure rules are reasonable and easy, unlike many other houses we have rented. It was great to be that close to Carson St making it easy and quick to get to various restaurants, cafes and other places, without having to drive everywhere. We never used the outdoor space or the 3rd floor, but both looked very inviting and comfortable. It was great having several bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, with one on the first floor, great for anyone with limited mobility. The half bath on the first floor was a great convenience too. We stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute in Carson St. Manor! Highly recommend it!

Wonderful stay in Southside!

We had 9 in our group - adults and teens. A lot of thought went into the comfort of this house. The bedrooms had blackout blinds and noise machines, and the mattresses were very comfortable. It’s a busy area with an active nightlife, but we had no issues with noise disturbing our sleep. We made dinner and breakfast—the kitchen met all our needs. Check in/out was a breeze. We found street parking right in front of the house for two cars both nights. The parking permit process was very simple. One thing to note is that there isn’t an ideal spot to gather for games or cards inside. We did so on the patio, and the weather cooperated which was perfect. We all commented that we would love to come back to spend more time at the many shops and restaurants nearby.

A boutique hotel all to yourself!

They did an amazing job renovating this house and then providing all the small details you would need to enjoy your stay (soaps/shampoos/towels/coffee/creamers, etc). The online description matched up perfectly. My daughter actually said that her room (which included her own bathroom) said it was better than hers at home. My only concern was parking on the street but we were able to find parking each night at 8:30, and the temporary permit worked without issue. I would highly recommend for a family, especially looking at colleges in the Pittsburgh area. Brandon, the host, was super responsive and helpful.

Great Stay/Great Host!

Came to Pittsburgh for an event at Duquesne University and had an incredible stay here. The host, Brandon, was very accommodating and gave quick responses before and during our stay whenever I had questions. I really appreciate his help and quick responses. All the house instructions were clearly communicated before we arrived. The house was clean, smelled great, stocked with linen and kitchen/bathroom supplies, and beautifully decorated. The beds were very comfortable and clean (which is so important to me). The location was great for us, as it is near to a lot of shops and restaurants and 10 minutes away from our event. I give this stay 5 stars across the board and would definitely stay here again. Brandon’s customer service and kindness was above and beyond exceptional which made our experience excellent!

Great stay!

We stayed with my parents, our 13 yr old and our infant. We were pleasantly surprised to find a baby gate for the stairs and a bathtub in bath on the 2nd floor for our little one. The furnishings and decor are modern and clean - very nice style. The kitchen is equipped with everything we needed. We grilled steaks on the patio and made dinner at home one night. The host graciously provided k cups and coffee fixings. The TV is set up with Roku apps so we were able to use our netflix, Amazon prime, and YouTube tv for entertainment. This home is walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and the trail. It’s a great option for everyone! Thanks for having us, Brandon.

Great for Bachelor Parties… Families Beware

This VRBO is a beautifully updated, three-story row home that smartly uses its space and doesn’t share walls, something we appreciated. The interior was clean, well-appointed, and the check-in process was seamless.However, a few major issues impacted our stay:Noise & Sleep: By our second night (a Friday), it became clear this wasn’t the best choice for a family stay. The unit is located about 50 feet from a busy nightlife area, and the music and crowd noise from the clubs lasted from 9:00p. to 2:00a, even on Thursday. While the listing notes there may be noise “at times,” our experience felt more like sleeping on the dance floor. Noise-cancelling headphones are a must if you’re trying to get rest.Safety Concerns: Unfortunately, the night before we left, there was a shooting about 50 yards from the property. Adding to that, our family car—parked on the street—was involved in a hit-and-run during the chaos. Throughout our stay, we also witnessed clubgoers urinating near the front stoop and leaning on our vehicle as they waited in line.Final Thoughts: This place would be a great pick for bachelor parties, or anyone looking to enjoy Pittsburgh’s nightlife and crash afterward, ideally without a car. But for families or those seeking a quiet, restful stay, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.To the host: Please consider updating the listing to more accurately reflect the noise level. It’s not just “at times”—it’s every night the clubs are active.

Girls Getaway

Great house

The house was exactly as listed and we loved it. The host was great when it came to communication, too. There was way more space than expected inside and as two families of 4 we definitely all had space. Outside was super nice as well. We will definitely use this house again when visiting the area

Christmas Getaway

We had a great time! The house was as described. No surprises. Brandon was great with communication, and no issues while checking in. The house was very comfortable, and in a great location. We enjoyed exploring the city of Pittsburgh. The next time we come to Pittsburgh we would definitely use this property again.

Good times.

A good place to stay, close to things to do. Parking was free however it was on the street, wished that had been mentioned in description. Stovetop & microwave needed some attention. Was just a block off a busy, late night favorite street, not a problem, we just stayed in! Pittsburgh is a clean city with friendly people. Enjoyed our stay!

Carson Street Manor - Exceptional

Carson Street Manor was a perfect place to stay the week of the 4th of July, we truly enjoyed our home away from home. The house is lovely, well appointed with a great layout and convenient access to everything. The interior is gorgeous, very clean, and provided space to spend time together as well as privacy for those who wanted it. It is a great location for participating in the nightlife and dining on and around Carson Street, with great access to all the fun things Pittsburgh has to offer. The furry convention was in town so we were able to experience some of that too, along with fireworks in many different directions. The beds were comfy, and the bed linens and towels were great. The check out requirements were simple, straightforward, and logical, unlike many other VRBOs I have experienced around the country. Highly recommend Carson Street Manor and the host. Communicating with the host was quick and easy, he was very responsive. Applying for the digital parking permit was quick and easy and we had a response the same day from the variance group for the Pittsburgh Parking Authority. Our party was 4 adults, all of whom lived in Pgh. Everyone agreed this will be our first choice of rentals each time we come back to visit. There is a king bedroom with an ensuite on the first floor for anyone with mobility issues. There is also a half bath on the first floor which is very convenient. Fabulous place and location!!!
