Spectacular setting. Warm staff. Excellent quality breakfast. Good and relaxing spa facilities. Slightly out of the way. Would be better if the spa facilities ( warm pool, steam room, etc) be kept open till 8 pm and drinking water be made freely available. Lovely stay overall.

We stayed at Villa Lecchi three nights in late October 2021. It was a very nice place to stay in Chianti. The views from the terrace are simply breathtaking! We had drinks there every evening watching the sun drop behind the hills of Tuscany and the staff was extremely attentive and friendly. You get some nice snacks with each drink order and they change every night. The room was nice, clean, and also had a good view. The restaurant was decent as well— we had dinner there one night and the food was good, though not served hot enough. The lighting is a bit bright if you’re looking for something romantic but then again is fine if you’re there with young kids… There is also a beautiful outdoor eating area and pool area with even better views which we did not try due to the cooler weather. There’s a nice running trail in the valley below the hotel and some great roads to run or cycle on. And of course the location is central to all the region has to offer. A very nice hotel that deserves it’s excellent reputation!

Très belle vue aux alentours de l’hôtel. La terrasse du restaurant est exceptionnelle. La restauration est préférable à la carte qu’en menu fixé. La chambre est spacieuse mais la salle de bain est à moderniser pour un hôtel de cette classe.

This property was absolutely gorgeous! Cute, quiet, remote location provided the perfect relaxation vacation for my wife and I. The panoramic views in every direction were breathtaking. Highly recommended!

Nice Villa/Manor/Castle Experience in Wine Area
This manor house offered us a nice base when we were visiting Chianti wine area. It is very beautiful and cosy, although it is not as small and home like as some of the smaller countryside hotels/pensions, it has good services, up-class restaurant, swimming pool area and nice view from the hill. In a 15 min drive there are several places to take a look at (like Siena), as well as other good restaurants and wine farms.

Did not stay at property. Due to health-related reasons, needed a health facility/gym. Expedia's description inaccurately states that Villa Lecchi has one. Upon arrival to the facility, learned that there is no health facility/gym and that this has been conveyed to Expedia more than 20 times via email, however, there has been no correction to the site.

Villa Lecchi was the PERFECT place to stay in Tuscany! GROUNDS/AESTHETICS - WOW - Let me start by saying that the photos online don't do this place any justice! Sitting at one of the highest (if not THE highest) points in the area, this property gives you full 360 views of surrounding hills and vineyards. Inside, you'll find original stucco murals on the walls of the bedrooms that are carefully and thoughtfully decorated with antiques. The grounds were very well kept, beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. STAFF - The property is still family-owned and operated by the descendants of the man who wrote Pinoccho! They are so friendly and accommodating. Upon arrival, they upgraded our room and showed us its unique backstory and design features (it had a Versace bathroom, what?!). Maybe they upgraded us simply because they're nice and it was a slower week, or maybe they pitied me for being 33 weeks pregnant. FOOD & SERVICES - The breakfast was a huge, diverse spread and it was very delicious and fresh! They are usually closed for lunch, but if you let them know a day in advance that you'd like to dine there, they will open just for you (again, the staff are so accommodating). For the price, the spa services were good, not great (not the standard in most North American spas), but still relaxing and enjoyable. LOCATION - It's not a far drive at all to Siena, and being more in the country gives an authentic Tuscany experience. You will definitely want a rental car to get around!

The place is absolutely divine, the sunset out of this world and it really felt like a place of old times. The sounds of the dogs, cats, birds and roosters in the wee hours of the morning was awesome. The room was big and clean. I only have two things to point out that needs improvement: The beds were awful, felt like cheap beds and for the first time ever, I got back pain from sleeping on a bad bed. The second is the service during breakfast. It depended on who the waitress was. For example, if the first lady that served us coffee hadn’t informed us that they made eggs in the kitchen and that it was included we wouldn’t have known since the other ladies the other days only asked for coffee. If a platter of food eg tomatoes, cheese or bread emptied, they didn’t refill it. But besides from that, the stay was fantastic snd the dinner served at night was the best we had during our stay.

Hotel grounds are beautiful. Room was ok but very basic. Hotel was advertised as Spa which is why we chose it. It turned out Spa shut for a few weeks and apparently it happens every year in September. We couldn’t use it at all. This scheduled closure wasn’t communicated to us in any way until the arrival. Had we known that in advance, we would’ve chosen a different place to stay.

La vita villa Bella
A family owned villa in Tuscany, which old school charm. It’s a bit run down but still quite a dreamy location, and could use more service. But nevertheless the hotel grounds offers extensive relaxing spots at the pool or the restaurant. Which actually make it an ideal location for a party! Definitely the kind of place I would love to bring friends to, even if it’s a bit run down. There’s something magical about this place and I hope that it stays a family business in generations to come.

This was my second stay at Villa leaching, 16 years pretty much to the day. The vistas at this Wonderful small hotel (37 rooms), cannot be missed as something out of a fairy book. Well appointed rooms in a classically shabby chic setting giving a feel of the “real” to confirm the beauty of the “scene.” Meanwhile, every day is offered a wonderful breakfast buffet included with the room, as well as fresh and well prepared dinner presentations (for an extra tariff), served al fresco or within a nicely decorated dining room. While the Villa also features a spa and a pool. The Villa is itself about 25 km north of Siena and 50 km south of Firenze (Florence). Meanwhile, at all times we were treated as family. So in sum there could be nothing better as base for your “tour du Tuscany”!

One of the best places we have ever been
Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed. Excellent hospitality, it's owned by the same family in the last 30 years. It located in the center of Tuscany, in a small village, with wonderful view (12 minutes from the Hi-way) . There is a good restaurant in place.

Wonderful destination
We loved everything about our stay at Villa Lecchi. The furnishings in our Jr Suite were exquisite and the staff was extraordinarily friendly. This is the perfect location for touring the small hilltop cities of Tuscany. We would recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to stay outside of the larger cities of Florence and Sienna. The views from the hotel balcony are stunning and it is a short drive to places such as San Gimignano and Montireggioni.

Amazing views
This place had the most amazing views I have ever seen high up in Tuscany. We had 2 junior suites which were very spacious and had a spiral staircase up to a tower with views all around. The breakfast was very good, they cooked eggs to order. We didn't make it to breakfast the day we were leaving but they brought us a cappuccino on the terrace which I thought was a nice touch. We had dinner here on our second night . I remember the lamb I had was so good. The service was very good too. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Our stay at Villa Lecchi was fantastic. The hotel itself had great amenities and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Nothing was a problem and they consistently went over and above to help us. The location was picturesque and easy to get to surrounding areas if you have a car.

Beautiful Family Owned and Operated Villa
Villa Lecchi is amazing! We truly enjoyed our stay. The villa is located in the beautiful Chianti countryside. It is surrounded by rolling hills and vineyards, but it is only an hours drive from Florence-so very convenient. Siena is nearby, as well as multiple wineries and castles. Between site seeing and relaxing by the pool, you will have plenty to do. The Villa itself is gorgeous! It is beautifully decorated, clean, and well kept. Our room was ornate and one of a kind with frescos on the walls and antique furniture. The patio view is breathtaking. I highly recommend enjoying a bottle of wine there at sunset. The food is homemade and perfectly delicious! I strongly recommend buying the half board, it is a fantastic deal that includes a wonderful breakfast buffet and 4 course dinner. The best part of Villa Lecchi however, is definitely the service. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by the owner's son. He was expecting us and knew our names. He was very friendly and upgraded our room free of charge. He then carried in our luggage and gave us advice for our day trip. Later that evening we met the owner, his mother. She explained the history of the Villa while giving us a tour. She is incredible- she bakes cakes for breakfast, hosts, cleans etc! This is truly a family operated business. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I would 100% stay there again. I wish their business the best of luck!

Hotel staff were lazy and it felt like they were doing us a favour by letting us stay there. The place is in need of tlc and more importantly the staff need training

Hello, thank you for leaving your feedback on our Villa. Criticism ALWAYS pushes us to do better. As we remember, during your stay, no complaint was made at our reception (every complaint is taken very seriously at Villa Lecchi); you stayed with us for only two days, staying in the hotel only a few hours, and frankly, it seems slightly excessive to say that ALL of our staff are "lazy" and need training; our family (whom you have defined as "staff") has been at the complete disposal of our guests 24-7 since 1993 when the hotel was opened to the public. Our villa was built at the beginning of the 1800s and we are aware that some areas are not 100% perfect; In fact, for this reason, every year we close an area to renovate it completely and update all of our services. A gem in Tuscany
This family owned four star hotel is such a gem. The family wants all its guests to feel at home and they make it that way so seamlessly. From meals to offers of day trips, to the quiet but majestic scenery, the stay was amazing. Located in the heart of Tuscany with an amazing view and food from their own gardens and freshly laid eggs, this was an amazing stay. I don't think we will ever be able to eat another store bought tomato after eating their flavorful fresh from the garden ones.

Beautiful villa with breathtaking views. Owner was so friendly and helpful . We stayed on half board basis which was really good food was delicious . Breakfast also good with staff offering to make you fried eggs .
