OVERALL NICE AND CLEAN.
Good location and near train station, easy to walk to and from this hotel. The hotel is clean and quiet. The room and facilities are in good condition. Staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good.

Very Disappointing
Not a great stay, the family room I booked on line was meant to be 3 beds but only had 2 when we arrived, no other rooms were available so had to book another room elsewhere

The room was clean, the bed was ok and the ensuite was clean. There were some issues with the shower but we managed. The really bad part was the noise, the room has some old windows that don't close properly and you can easily hear everything from outside. There was a homless camp across the street. The location is very good and the breakfast was good as well.

Room in need of decorating. On suite very nice. Could have done with a fitted bottom sheet to make the bed more comfortable. Breakfast was good but did not probably catered for a gluten free which I had requested. First morning had to wait ages for breakfast being served.

The staff were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We loved the 50s style diner. We parked 5min walk away which cost £15 for our 22hr park.

Disappointing as usually a great place
Room felt worn down. Blinds warped and broken, curtains didn’t fully cover the windows. Single glazing onto the high street, so you get woken up by the street cleaning truck at 5:30am. Plug in sink didn’t work. Breakfast didn’t start until 8:30, so wasn’t really possible to eat before a 9am business meeting. Water cut out last day, and there was no one around when I went down at 7:30am to see what was going on, so didn’t get to have a shower. Used to enjoy staying here, but it’s changed.

A lovely weekend in Dorset visiting Christchurch, Bournemouth, Corfe Castle and then Durdle Door and stayed at this friendly guesthouse which provided a filling breakfast well cooked.

Owner has left the Country (literally)
False advertising. There is no longer a cafe. The place has sold but not changed hands yet. This basically means there is never anyone to help if you run into trouble. My window was held open by a tin bucket (there was no lock on the window) The day before check in you get an email giving you a code to get into the building. There are envelopes on the counter for the rooms that are booked they each have a code to get into the individual rooms. Anyone could look at all of the codes in each envelope. For this and other reasons I did not feel safe here. The walls are paper thin and the person above me was running water until 2 in the morning. It sounded like the whole bathroom was going to cave in. The owner is in Switzerland and didn’t even have the courtesy of returning my emails. Completely overpriced for what you get. I would not stay here again.

Clean and comfortable
The room was well designed, clean and comfortable, but a little small. Breakfast was tasty and freshly cooked, with very pleasant service. There are no staff present at the property from 6pm to 7am, which was fine for me, but is worth noting. Location very convenient for the old town and quay areas.

Decent cafe with rooms
Great hosts and ideal location for town centre, no parking onsite but secure multi storey is close by and was £6 overnight. Room would be lovely if more could be done to reduce external light and noise it would be fab!

Greyhounds Gin and gifts
Fantastic location for shopping , the quay with its fantastic new gin bar tin of sardines and a short walk to the greyhound stadium, the reason why we were in poole. The rooms are clean and equipped with tv and wifi. The only access is via a fsiy narrow and steep staircase but its manageable for most including me. Its worth the effort for the location . As it is also a shop , access is via a keypad lock on the main and room door which works well and allows you to come and go as you please. The proprietors and micheal who works both front of shop and housekeeping are all helpful and informative. There are plenty of places to eat in the local and the cafe will provide a lovely breakfast thst you pre order the day before. Rooms 1 and 3 are to the back of the property 2 and 4 to the front so 1 & 3 are marginally quieter given the cafe is on the main thoroughfare but as we were out till late this didnt matter to us. . We liked it so much last year we came back this year and despite the stairs hope to do so again next year.

Lovely accommodation above an attractive Cafe.
A good place in a great location. Only problem was inadequate curtains when the security light of a shop across the pedestrian area outside was on. Service and food was excellent and wonderfully clean.

Really lovely staff
Lovely room, VERY clean and the loveliest staff. Breakfast was great and the staff encouraged me to drink as much coffee as I wanted! Would def stay here again. Allowing customers to grab cakes from the cafe at night and pay in the morning was a nice touch.

Great little cafe getaway
A great place to stay in the centre of Poole, Especially if you need accommodation after the ferry crossing. Very easy to get to and as we arrived late, all our instructions were waiting for us. Room was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent as were our hosts. This is a working cafe, and would fully recommend this to any one who wants to stay in Poole. You won't be disappointed.

Quirky little guest house
The place is quirky and interesting. I arrived at 7pm and the hosts were already gone for the night, so they left directions. It was however a bit odd to arrive to a dark quiet cafe with no one there. It was comfortable enough, and they were communicative via email, but for the price, I had expected a bit more. I did enjoy the retro cafe - if there were other people there it could be quite nice and lively.

We just spent a couple of nights at this pleasant little guest house. Fiona and Didier are excellent, friendly hosts and Didier's breakfasts are delicious. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. It is in a central location and there are lots of pubs and restaurants nearby and it is minutes from the lovely quay area. The only downside we found that as seniors the stairs are a bit steep and bendy to manoeuvre, although Didier did carry our heaviest cases up and down the stairs. All in all a nice little home away from home.

Great hotel on the High Street
The owner was extremely flexible, arranging early breakfast for ferry goers, ordering a taxi that we could share. He even carried the larger bag up the stairs to the first floor for me. The location on the pedestrian High Street was close to the quay and restaurants. The room was spacious, the shower renovated and excellent. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Unique little inn, loved it.

A quirky Bed & Breakfast. Let yourself in through the Cafe when it is closed. Stairs a little steeper than normal but the rooms are tasefully decorated and a good size.

Quirky B&B in the centre of Poole.
This B&B is above a nice little cafe in the centre of Poole. When the cafe is closed, there is no one on reception, so you have to check in before they close for the night. You actually walk through the cafe to get to your room and can help yourself to cake, etc on an honesty basis. The rooms are quite compact and my side of the bed didn't have a bedside table but the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable (although only one pillow each was provided). There were coffee/tea facilities in the room and shampoo/shower gel were provided. There's no parking but there is a multi-storey car park a short distance away which was reasonably priced. It was nice to hear the sea gulls in the morning, but other guests said there was other unwelcome noise late at night as well as the seagulls very early. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were polite and professional.

Nice modern B&B
Very helpful staff and nice modern room. The B&B is located on the high street so ideal for getting to the shops. I was in room 2 which was very clean and modern. Only downside was noise from the high street. All in all very comfortable and I would definitely recommend.

Overnight stay in Poole.
This was an overnight stop for the ferry to Guernsey and it was extremely convenient . The rooms are above a small privately owned cafe and gift shop. There are 4 rooms over 2 floors. The top floor is a bit of a climb, but well worth it. We were in a double ensuite. The shower room was obviously quite new, and had a lovely walk in shower, with loo and sink. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bedding and towels were of a high quality. There was a small area with a kettle and everything you needed for making tea or coffee, also biscuits and bottled water. Downstairs in the cafe/shop area is where you have your breakfast. We opted for a full English which was freshly cooked by the owner, and it was delicious. There is plenty of choice for breakfast. The owner is delightful and gave us good directions on where to go for an evening meal. With it being in the town centre, it is pedestrianised, so getting luggage from the car to your accommodation is slightly difficult. There are car parks quite close, but most have a four hour limit on them. With this being the only drawback, we will definitely use this b&b again.

Excellent, quirky little B and B. Excellent location, right in the town centre and close to a car park. Only a couple of minutes walk to the quay. Lovely breakfast, very friendly and easy check in. Great value.

Very difficult due to lack of personal contact.
Arriving late with no proper directions as to where the guest house is or where to park etc. (sat-nav took us to other end of street) It took us quite a while to get in. If you do not arrive when the cafe is open, there is only a telephone contact. You ring and have to leave a message, then they get back to you. After about 15 mins, we found the cafe and had a call from the owner with directions how to get in and where to park. Multi storey at the end of street. (not locked ) As we had to leave early next morning, we had to help ourself to breakfast after finding out where everything was in the cafe. Just as we were leaving someone arrived and asked if we wanted coffee! As the stairs to the bedrooms are not straight and a little steep, this is not a suitable place for older people.
