    Please note, Hurricane Ike forever changed the footprint of Bolivar Peninsula, therefore some homes listed as beachfront may have a lot and/or street in front of it. This is the result of the uncertainty following the storm where some property owners elected to participate in the government buy out of lots that fell in what later would be considered within the vegetation line established by the State of Texas and subsequently included as part of the public beach. Not all property owners participated. Those homes where the property in front of it are part of the buyout are considered beachfront even though to the east or west of it there may be a home closer to the beach.

The Sheriff’s Department was visible and active in safety on the beach. The proper was as described and very clean. Cobb Realty was very professional and friendly. I would recommend this rental to a friend and would rent it again. The restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping was close to the rental. We did rent a cart because the beach was very crowded so we had to go further for a spot to set up our cabana and chairs. The cart rental place delivered and picked up our cart. Very convenient. We had a wonderful stay!

Relaxing and enjoyable

Property was nice. Location was nice. It was a lot of fun to watch the beachgoers come and go. The only problem we had was the front door door handle. It was loose and didn’t wanna lock and the door stay shut. Other than that. It was nice could’ve used the lift, but it was nice.

Cobb is great to deal with and the house is in a perfect location and has everything we need. We had zero issues while there although it was the week before the hurricane hit; we left Sunday afternoon and Monday it was a totally different story. The weather the week we were there was great! The beach was busy but not packed. Fantastic house and fantastic company to deal with....win-win!!

The house itself is a great floor plan, room sizes are good and the mattresses are the best of any house we've rented to date by far!!!! House needs a bit of maintenance (exterior paint mainly) and a picnic table downstairs would be nice but all in all it definitely is a cabin I'd want to rent again......and look forward to it too! Once again Cobb was easy and professional, always a pleasure to do business with you. The linens and towels were more than adequate as well. I'd definitely give Surf and Sand 5 Stars!!!!!!

Plenty of room for all of us, two refrigerators to keep plenty of food, very clean, and the ocean view is amazing! Our first night the stove top went out. Cobb sent a repairmen at 7 pm on Dec 23 and it was fixed within 2 hours of our call! We rented a golf cart for the week and had lots of fun driving up & down the beach! You will love staying at Surf and Sand!!

Weekend Stay

Location of house was great. Unobstructed view of the Gulf. House was very clean and had plenty of cookware, utensils and dishes, everything you need. I would recommend bringing Off spray as the mosquitos were really bad. Would definitely return to Surf and Sand house next time on Bolivar.
