Just a lovely lively place by the river with restaurants etc as well as a uniquely fascinating centre for sculpture with sculpting going on all the time at Lapidales. And of course the river is gorgeous.

Very comfortable overnight stop
Many things are very good. The location is near the river at Port d’Envaux Communication in English is a little difficult. We ended up with a large saucepan of hot milk to make our morning tea!
