Great location, comfortable bed, sufficient cutlery, plates and mini bar fridge to self cater breakfasts, and access to in-house gym. Nice pool and general amenities.

Room is very dated, and in need of renovation. Carpet is very old and smells mouldy. Shower is over a high level bath that makes access tricky and has recent grout over dated tiles, some cracked and signs of mould. Old broken clothes hanger still on wall in shower area. No shower curtain, just the hooks, so floor gets wet. Bed is springy and uncomfortable. Unlike most nearby units, there’s no outer flyscreens, thus you can’t leave a door or window open for circulation. One door blind doesn’t close which affects light coming in and privacy, as unit is on ground floor with pedestrian access outside. Unit was especially dirty on arrival but owner organised prompt clean after we raised it. It’s a good location and part of a bigger complex, but this room is beyond just a clean, it needs modernising like others we saw nearby.

A week at the Remada Resort

We loved the pool, just the perfect temperature and so attractive with all the lush foliage. Our unit was comfortable for two people. Our host was very helpful. The restaurant was great.. we ate there a few times. A really enjoyable holiday far away from freezing Melbourne.

Lovely resort with Balinese feel

Very nice resort. Staff were lovely. Shame the food at the restaurant was quite mediocre (aside from the tempura fish and chips which was delicious).

A nice place to relax

There's a shuttle that runs into town regularly and the resort is a short walk to the beach. The room was very clean and spacious. We loved having cocktails by the pool!

Resort style stay

Easy to check in, clean and well set up and nice to be able to use resort pool & gym. A bit damp smelling due to extreme heavy rain, so keep air con on continuously. A few notes from owner on this & transport to Port Douglas would have been handy. The room has no phone coverage & the hotel does not orovide wifi so being cut off from everything is tricky.

Great location and communication, no WiFi

The resort is close to the beach, awesome pool and restaurant. There is no WiFi which I was really disappointing considering the resort facilities are meant to be on offer.

Not what we expected

This is a hotel room in a resort. But it’s self contained?! Not what we expected! 1 roll of TP, but 10 pillows bed?!? No one to make up our room, and 1 set of towels for 7 days. Same set of sheets and towels for 7 days. Great that there’s facilities to wash and dry on site, but that’s not what I expect when staying in a 4 star hotel. Bed is hard and room needs to be modernised. If I stay in a hotel I expect there to be certain amenities. This needs to be much clearer when looking for a hotel. If I book a hotel I expect hotel amenities, so we are feeling a little cheated here.

Nice room

The host Zoe was great to deal with. The room was clean and well furnished. Check in was very easy. We had access to all of the resort's facilities except for a couple of things. Firstly no access to Ramada's WIFI and reception wouldn't store our luggage on checkout. They said we weren't guests checked in by Ramada, we were private guests. Our stay in the resort was great.

Great facility, nice swimming pool, beautiful gardens. Room is a bit old, but clean. Good location.

Property manager was nice and easy to communicate. However, property doesn’t have washing machine and dryer and they are changing towels once a week only. It’s not possible to dry them in tropical climat.

Our stay at Ramada Port Douglas

We were extremely disappointed on opening the door. The room smelt musty, was run down and far from our expectations. There were 4 of us and my 13 yr old Son had to share a crappy roll out bed with our 10 yr old Daughter. Deceiving pictures from what was posted on the Internet. We ended up booking a different place at a different resort so we could have an enjoyable stay with kids in separate beds and separate rooms from us.
