We were there in January so it was very quiet. The staff was excellent, the food was great. Our room was a bit small, but well equipped and clean. the bathroom was sizable with a great shower. There are great walks along the ocean right from the hotel's front door. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was sooo yummy, with both a full english breakfast as well as a breakfast buffet table. There was some issues with the booking itself, so that was annoying. Apparently some comms issues between Expedia and the hotel. But everything else was great.

I had the basic twin because that was the only option available when I booked. The room was very clean and warm- no ocean view. Had dinner in the dining room and it was lovely Had the daily special of turkey pie and pint and it was very nice along with the fish and chips. Breakfast the next morning was a choice of cereal and fruit and pastries along with a cook to order breakfast. Again lovely. All the staff were very attentive and friendly. Would stay here again if I’m back in Port Issacs

We were in town mainly to visit nearby Port Isaac (because we loved the Doc Martin series). If you don't mind the steep hill, you can walk from one town to the other in about 15 minutes, and the Port Gaverne hotel was relatively affordable. We had a good dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, and the staff was friendly. The only thing we'd mention is that we were on the top floor, which had nice views but is up an extremely narrow and steep staircase. So if you couldn't make that climb, be sure to ask for a room on a lower floor.

Disappointing visit The staff was outstanding, especially Joanna, and the food was wonderful but for five nights we had no housekeeping and the heat was on only a couple hours in the late evening and the late morning. We were freezing each evening.

Wonderful Hotel - Coeliac friendly

Set in a beautiful location right by a pretty little beach. This hotel is hard to beat. Wonderful friendly staff who were all so helpful. Special thanks to Luke for taking extra care over my dietary requirements due to being coeliac and to Jack the manger for your kindness. Extra bonus points for selling Bath Gem gluten free beer! We absolutely loved our stay and we couldnt recommend this hotel highly enough. We cant wait to visit again. Thank you.

Mysigt hotell

Rummet var bra med fin utsikt. Brant trappa upp till rummet, så vi släpade inte upp någon resväska. Ingen parkering vid hotellet så man fick gå en bit från en parkering och det var jättebrant. Frukost och mat var typiskt brittiskt. Port Issac är inget att rekommendera om man har några problem med att gå, väldigt många backar upp och ner.
