Nice house close to the beach

The location couldn’t be better – a short walk to the beach and just minutes from stores, making it super convenient for anything we needed.The home itself was cozy and comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen that had everything we needed to cook meals. The beds were incredibly comfy, making for restful nights after long days in the sun. They even included a leash and ball for our dog. Wonderful Home

Would not stay in this home again

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house wasn't the best for the money. The queen bed was hard and still had sand the same day we arrived in it. The queen bedroom remote did not work even with new batteries. The lights would be turned up in the living room and kitchen but would stay dim. The dust pan for the broom in the kitchen was not usable as it would not "catch" the items you were sweeping up. All knifes were dull. The pool lights did not work. However, the location of the home was great and the size for 4 adults and 4 children.

Great House - needs a new management company

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful house and location. The house was not ready at check in time. No communication to let us know that it would not be ready. Had a concern with some of the flooring when we first checked in. A maintenance man showed up unannounced opened our door with two dogs inside. When we discovered that the dishwasher was not working, again another maintenance man showed up unannounced, but did knock this time. He determined that he could not resolve the issue and would probably hear from another person who would come later. We did not hear anything else until a guy showed up with a new dishwasher to install at the same time we were leaving for dinner, three days later. Communication is definitely an opportunity for this company. Again, the house and location were great!

Ideal Beach House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Reel Blessings is a beautiful beachy home. It is nicely decorated with updated furniture and overall fresh look. There are lots of stairs and no main level powder room, in case this is a problem for some. However, lots of stairs also means lots of decks which is perfect for a beach house. It is a newer house in a neighborhood that is currently undergoing new construction so there is a lot of construction mess/trash in the neighborhood and along the private access to the beach. The beach access is super convenient; however, we had to watch for nails on the path as two houses under construction surround the access path and it is a mess. Easy walk from house to a beautiful beach that we came and went from all day. The house currently has a terrific view of the ocean that is breathtaking. This will likely change once other homes are built up in front of it, but for now, it is spectacular with plenty of decks and balconies to choose from. Other than construction mess, the neighborhood is small with pretty beach homes. The home had everything we needed to make Thanksgiving dinner. As others mentioned, it appears the very lower level does not have HVAC so it was chilly down there on cold November nights. This was a minor issue. There is a decent sized pool, but it was too cold to swim in November. Bring your groceries with you as there aren't many options nearby other than the small Piggly Wiggly where it's lone grocer status is reflected in the prices. Lots of local mom and pop shopping and dining options in the area which is a refreshing change. We purchased bagged fresh shrimp from a local seller twice to-go. This is a dog friendly area where most other houses had dogs in them and many dogs on the beach. Overall, we loved our stay at Reel Blessings. We rent beach houses along the panhandle 2-3 times a year, and this is by far our favorite. We would definitely stay here again!

I would rent this home again. I especially loved the personal touches, like candles thru the home you could burn (it's a girl thing!) Beach is lovely, very fine sugar sand and semi-private during our early May stay. The people we met were all friendly and we enjoyed our interactions with them. Some days(late in the evening) we were the only ones on the entire beach. Our pup loved the trip too, everyone was welcoming to him around the neighborhood/beach.

Family vacation

The house was beautiful and very comfortable. We loved the pool and the close proximity to the beach. The views are amazing. We absolutely loved all the decks and outdoor seating that was available. Other than some minor maintenance issues (broken towel racks, unstable dining table, loose fence spindles, smelly washing machine) and extremely minor housekeeping oversights (dirty guest shower and floors not swept well) it was PERFECT for our large family. Everyone had their own space to escape to. It felt like home. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Reel Blessings 2021

The location is great both to the beach, to town, to stores, etc. Here are a few suggestions: There are multiple loose spindles on the decks. Most were on the lower street side. My 2 year old is the one who found them. Once we noticed them, we chose not to allow her on the deck. They are secured using pneumatic trim nails. It is quite dangerous. Cleanliness was an issue. The home looked spot cleaned but could use a deep cleaning. I highly recommend purchasing a nice vacuum cleaner to leave for guests to use. There is a small vacuum for hardfloors but a vacuum is needed for the rugs. Sheets were clean but comfortors and blankets were dirty and had dog hair on them. We have stayed at Good Times II home last year and the place was spotless.

So close to the beach!

We loved how close the house was to the beach and was one of few houses on the quiet road. We were warned of lack of cell signal and wifi, but it is essentially non-existent. We were confused why there were so many smart TVs when the wifi rarely worked. So don't plan to try and work like my husband was planning to! Outside of the lack of tech access, it was a relaxing tip and made us fall in love with the Cape and Port St. Joe. The private pool was the cherry on top! We loved the ability to rent beach gear through the booking of the home too. So handy! We highly recommend doing a fishing charter too! LOVED!

Probably stayed in 15 different houses. Probably the best house we have staying in terms of finishings and well maintained. Loved the setting. Great spot on the beach! Pool was so great to have. Everything was very very clean (which we don’t take for granted at the beach with all the sand). Also well stocked kitchen (probably best we have ever stayed in) which we greatly appreciate because we cook all of our meals almost.

Cape San Blas Magic

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our 2 weeks in March were a great break from what has been a cold winter. Reel Blessing's willingness to accept dogs is a differentiator, allowing us to travel with our 3 no-shed Portuguese Water Dogs. All 16-legs enjoyed long beach walks, fun, sand, water! The layout of the house was perfect in that we could lounge by the pool, the dogs were able to stay out of the sun, cool, in the lower room beside the pool deck (with no access to the rest of the house). Cap San Blas itself was made for such quiet holiday. We would welcome a pool heater. Arrival March 18 was to a cool pool; a heater, guest paid use, would make Reel Blessings perfect!
