Amazing hotel

Staff are super nice and accommodating, food was superb with lots of vegan options, room was spacious and clean. It’s definitely the perfect place to stay when exploring the Isle of Skye.

L’état de l’hôtel est à revoir dans sa globalité. Petit déjeuner jusqu’à 10h, on arrive à 9h45, on nous met la pression pour nous dire que la cuisine ferme bientôt et qu’on doit commander maintenant sinon il ferme, pareil pour le dîner, arrivée à 20h10, réservations jusqu’à 20h30 et même schéma. Je ne parle même pas du bruit, le sol craque à chaque pas, on entend les conversations des chambres aux alentours, très sympa quand votre voisin se réveille à 6h00 du matin et crie… télévision qui ne marche pas. Attention, lorsque vous êtes malade et que vous souhaites réchauffer une soupe à vous, car celle de l’hôtel ne va pas correspondre avec la présence de fromage on va vous dire « NON ». Très sympa. Le matin pas de bonjour de la part du personnel si vous ne dites pas bonjour en premier. Bref niveau propreté c’est à revoir, des cheveux partout dans la salle de bain… mais c’est encore mieux lorsque les femmes de ménages font le ménage avec la musique à fond, c’est super le matin… On paye pour la vue et l’emplacement mais un rafraîchissement serait bien à refaire, pareil au niveau du personnel…

Where to begin? We booked in for 2 nights—or so I thought! On the second day of our stay, we decided to forgo room cleaning since we were only there for one more night. I put the Do No Disturb sign in the door and we went out exploring for the day. At 3:30 I got a call from the manager saying that we had overstayed and they had gone into our room, packed our stuff and moved our bags to the lobby. It was my error thinking that I had booked 2 nights but he was quite short with me and I felt he was implying that we had deliberately overstayed (by putting the Do Not Disturb sign on). He claims someone tried to call earlier but could not reach me—they had no phone numbers for me but finally got my number because we made dinner reservations at the hotel restaurant the night before (which is a whole other story!) Seriously?? Since when does a hotel not have phone numbers for their guests? The manager said it was because we booked through Expedia (Hotels.cm)—in a very condescending way!! As it turned out, he did us a favour because we did not have to pay an exorbitant amount to stay at a very unfriendly place. We ended up staying in Fort William as an extremely friendly Premier Inn for 1/3 of the price!
