Hospitality requires professionals. When you deal with small places like Bliss it is often a side project with no resources available to answer questions. The oncall person was rather salty when we had some issues getting to the property even though it was during daytime. The signage could be better, the lights on the back stair were not working.

Igor - sorry that you had that experience. I did just check your email correspondance which you read, and it does state that the reception closes at 6:00 p.m. and all the information you need to get into your suite was inside the message. We are addressing the light issue immediately

Beds were hard and shower took forever to warm up and had low water pressure. Nice modern suite, but so uncomfortable.

Great room with lovely bathroom and balcony. Clean, nice amenities, and very friendly reception staff. Foam mattress was a little hot and a/c unit was a little noisy, but overall a good place to stay right next to the ferry. Restaurant next door was outstanding!

Easy accessibility. Dining options nearby and an amazing view outside. Very comfortable place to sleep for the night and great cafes nearby for the morning. Carpet could use a shampoo for sure.

needs to be more eco conscious
Very convenient for the ferry. Very clean. But so disappointing that all cups were disposable and wrapped in plastic with plastic stirrers instead of a metal teaspoon.

We only stayed one night but wished we could have extended our stay to explore the town more. Our suite was lovely - very clean and tastefully furnished. Although we didn’t use it, the suite had a full kitchen which would have been amazing to take advantage of had we been able to stay longer. The one staff we interacted with at check in was friendly and helpful. When we’re back in Powell River we’ll definitely book here again.

Great suite, modern, amazing view. Restaurants right out the front door, ferries were 1 minute away. Negatives were the large flight of stairs to the parking lot and condition of the unit needs a little tlc. Sofa bed is damaged an unuseable, bathroom heated floors were nonfunctional. Other than that it was great, we enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for your stay. We value your business. Our rooms are mainly based on what side of the hotel they are on. I would recommend giving our suites a try :) A floor higher gives you a better view.

The suite with the water view was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. My only comment really is that there is no elevator and walking up the three flights to room was a bit bothersome for my knee. I knew before booking there was no elevator AND I’d also still book there as it was that good. Minor but the jets in the tub went off in the night and it was not clear how to turn them off.

5 stars. The covered porch made the difference between this and other properties. If it wasn’t sold out in July when I return, I’d book again in a heartbeat. Deduct 1/2 star for no elevator though. 23 steps lugging 45lbs of luggage. I’m a professional traveler and travel lightly, but for a 2-week stint in Canada, one never knows what weather will be in store. If you’re a light traveler, feel free to add the 1/2 star back in. As it was, the weather was beautiful and the views from the porch are spectacular. Deduct another 1/2 because wireless while it worked in the room, it didn’t 20 feet away on the porch. If you’re from Canada with an unlimited data plan, that won’t be an issue so there’s another 1/2 star back.
