“Our host at Au Fer à Cheval was Romain, a friendly and helpful man. He owns about 20 English thoroughbred race horses, as well as breeds them. His farm is in a beautiful location with lovely views. It was unfortunately cold and wet for the two nights that we were there, so we couldn't use the pool, and the roads were too slippery for him to take us out in his horse-drawn carriage, but we did see two of his retired racing mares with their foals. Our room was comfortable and clean, good shower,……

“We were sidetracked and did not arrive until midnight on the day of check in. Celine had emailed me and when when I did not respond, she called to check on our well being and what time we would arrive. I felt bad that she was of course still awake at midnight to welcome us and unaware that she had other guests leaving at 5am so she had to be up super early to prepare those guests breakfast. Again super nice and accommodating people. Thank you so much”

“Sejour agréable en general Petite fausse note : piscine froide , mise en route a notre arrivée , des remonter d'égout dans la chambre avec terrasse , le prix du repas d’hote excessif . Bon point : petit dejeuner de qualité , produits de region , et tres gourmand ! Le cadre tres reposant ! Des petites choses a dire mais globalement c’est une tres bonne maison d’hote !!”
