I am not happy that this hotel did not refund me after a terrible winter storm prevented us from being able to fly there. I will be taking this up with my credit card as they have not responded to any of my messages.

The room was clean, and the staff very helpful. The re-usable water bottles upon arrival is especially a nice touch as we ended using them during our entire trip in Galapagos. The only issue I have with this location is the internet access - it was pretty inconsistent and it's down a lot. Didn't bother me too much as we were out most of the day. Good thing I didn't have to work until the next island, otherwise I would've been in big trouble.

This hotel was excellent, primarily because of its great location, making it easy to walk anywhere. On the first day, the staff provided a kind and thorough explanation, and the room was clean and well-maintained. The thoughtfully arranged amenities were also impressive. The breakfast, though simple, was sufficient, and the hotel was quiet and safe. It is a wonderful and cozy hotel that I would highly consider visiting again. Thank you.

The hotel is one block from the main street. Ana, the hotel manager, helped us with several restaurant suggestions that turned out to be great experiences. In addition, Ana helped us coordinate transfers to and from the airport, which, in the case of the Galapagos, are very important. She also kept track of all the excursions we had scheduled, and I definitely recommend Hotel Cucuve.

Hotel should answer messages from customer

Did not stay here as a tsunami alert prevented me to get to the hotel. I messaged the hotel for a refund. No reply. At least have the courtesy to reply. It would mean a lot!! There was no way I was going to make it to the hotel. All ferry services were cancelled. Please can a refund be arranged. This was a force majour incident and no fault of the customer. I hope a satisfactory response is provided and a refund made.

Great hotel in Puerto Ayuro

Excellent location, clean, friendly, and great breakfast. Highly recommend. Only caveat- the outdoor area on the water shown in photos is actually a couple blocks from the rest of the hotel. Not a big deal, but I was surprised.

Our stay at Hotel Cucuve was truly fantastic! The room itself was very comfortable, simple yet stylish furnishings, with AC and a ceiling fan, USB charging plugs throughout, a very spacious balcony with hammock to relax in and several seats. All of the staff were super friendly and very helpful in trying to locate our lost luggage and have it delivered to the hotel. Coffee and tea and some light snacks are available at any time free of charge, and if leaving early in the morning for day excursions, you can even request a packed up breakfast in advance. Definitely felt like our home away from home during our time there, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Puerto ayora.

The staff is absolutely amazing. So very relaxed and helpful. The breakfast is a full bery tasty breakfast and the woman preparing it is wonderful. They even sent us off with a bagged lunch when we left earlier than 7am and had light crackers and cookies available throughout the day. Location is very convenient. They even have a separate area accessible to guests on the waterfront that we found to relax and read. I highly recommend but if you have difficulty with stairs I would suggest not staying here as reception is one floor up.
