The motel is in an area of stunning natural beauty. It has a rather faded, "past its best" feel to it.The bed was good and the room well- heated in the cold (we were there in late October). The kitchen equipment was mixed: a good coffee maker and fridge but no saucepans for the hob! The internet was very unreliable. It is adequate for a few days stay: however, there are better options available nearby

Our room was down a breezeway, enclosed on one end so no direct access to the outside. Also no view of anything, just the side of the breezeway outside our window. Such a shame for such a beautiful area. No AC so the room was warm and stuffy, even with the fan. Thankfully, the weather did cool at night so offered relief. My single bed was on wheels so rolled when I leaned up against the headboard to watch TV - my husband's single bed was on a block which was much better. The bathroom was clean but small with very little area to store toiletries. It was a dated property with old flooring and furniture. There might be free WiFi but it was very sketchy and limited access to the internet. The TV access was great. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We have no choices in Haida Gwaii
No enough parking for all guests, layout of the place like old timer, stairway to the second floor is not safely build. 2 -star level 3- star rate.

Multi-plug for TV and cable connection didn't work. As it was mainly a double room with single bed, one side of double bed had no bedside stand/table. The one used for single bed needs to be used for the double bed.

Property was clean, staff and management were helpful and friendly. Rooms need some updating but we were looking for a hot shower and a good night sleep and that’s what we got

It’s close to the ferry dock. The staff tried to be helpful. Minor repairs are needed. The security lock on our door was broken, for instance, and the bathroom door wouldn’t close properly. The wifi is useless, or was the night we were there. If you just want a bed for the night, it’s fine.

Right across Queen Charlotte information centre and many of the amenities in Queen Charlotte (Daagiing giid) information centre. I got an upgrade free of charge since it was low season. They have a restaurant that serve big plate Menu. ( you will get huge plate of food compare to the other restaurant in Queen Charlotte

The staff were great and opened the door at 1am after a late ferry arrival. The location across from the water is perfect. However, there was still food in the fridge from whenever the last person stayed there and used soap in the uncleaned shower. Aswell as the cleaning lady thought she would stroll in at 630pm unannounced while I was lying on the bed in my underwear. Why 630pm, why not knock? I have no idea.

Water pressure, water temperature was inadequate. Beds where very uncomfortable and electrical plugs were either loose or not functioning at all.

My stay was for one week at the end of Feb/Beginning of March. I found the Owner/Manager was very helpful with whatever I needed. For example, during the time of my visit , BC was experiencing unusual amoung of snowfall and my car rental company had not provided a snow brush. As soon as the Motel Owner/Manager saw my predicament, he was right there to brush off the snow off my car. I did not experience anything negative during my stay at this Motel. That said, one must put things in perspective before visiting Haida Gwaii. Although Haida Gwaii has a lot of great things to offer with its beauty and nature, high class Hotels/Motels with the most modern conveniences is not one of them. This Motel, however, provided, everything I needed and was very comfortable.

Booked through Expedia and had room for good price but room was dark and a bit gloomy. To be fair, room was recently refinished and was clean. Everything worked as it was supposed to.

Convenient but poorly maintained.
The only saving grace is the location; smack in the middle of Charlotte City; almost across the road from Tourist Info. Tourist Info was very helpful. The Sea Raven is old and dirty; almost a tear down. The person who checked us in at the Sea Raven couldn’t speak English; couldn’t even answer basic questions. There was no service of any kind. The room was not clean. Huge dust balls and cobwebs under the beds; grunge in every corner; kitchenette not clean except for what I did for the next guest! There is a restaurant attached but we never tried the restaurant. Your survey does not ask about location. The location is excellent and the restaurant convenient. Despite all my complaints I would probably stay again because of the convenience and the reasonable price.

Leider konnten wir die Unterkunft nicht nutzen da wir wetterbedingt von Dutch Harbor, Unalaska AK, nicht abfliegen konnten. Der Versuch die Buchung rechtzeitig zu stornieren scheiterte an der chaotischen Software von Expedia. Die Unterkunft trifft keine Schuld, wir konnten sie leider auch telefonisch nicht erreichen.
