First time staying in a hostel and it was great. Staff were so friendly and gave a tour of the kitchen and lounge areas. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and it was nice to have your own little pod vs having a little bunk bed. Only stayed for one night so didn't use the kitchen but they provide tea and coffee and even have a free food section of assorted things that people have left behind. A block or two from the main area of Queenstown but I preferred this since it kept the noise of the bars out at night.

I really enjoyed stayed at Tahuna Pod Hostel. First, the location is just perfect, a short walk away to everything but peaceful away from all the noises and chaos of Queenstown, and perched on the top of the hill so you have an amazing view of the lake, especially during sunset. The staff is fantastic and keeps the place friendly but clean and orderly. And the bed is so so comfortable. If you are coming to Queenstown, stay here.

The hostel is right behind the main bus stop in Queenstown and very easy to get around town. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The female’s dorm has its own bathroom which is convenient. The bed is comfy.
