Noble indipendent house (300 sqm), in the historical center of the medieval village of Radicondoli.
All kind of shops (postoffice, bank, bancomat).
One side of the house faces the village, the other side has a marvellous and peaceful view over hills and valleys with a large panoramic furnished terrace of 45 sqm with barbecue and private, not shared, swimming pool.
The house provides 4 comfortable double bedrooms with air conditioning and a smaller single passthrough, 4 full bathrooms with shower, 3 living room with fireplace (one with double sofa bed and air conditioning), and a large fully equipped kitchen with fireplace to cook.
Free Wi-Fi, Air Conditioning in 4 double bedrooms and 1 living room with double sofa bed.

  • #TroveOn Yes, Monteriggioni just might be the quintessential walled medieval village in Tuscany. It's small enough to perhaps be called "cute" but you won't catch me using this term. Monteriggioni began as a border fortress built on a round hill by Sienna against the Florentines. It is famous for the intact defensive structure that held up against repeated Florentine attacks in the 11th century; its 10 meter high walls and 14 towers can still be seen for miles around. Monteriggioni has been featured in movies as a typical medieval village. The village is slightly elliptical in shape with two gates (a third has been plugged). The major gate tourists will use when coming from the parking lot, Porta Franca, owes its name to the Via Francigena--Monteriggione was a major stop on the pilgrimage trail from Cantebury to Rome. The Romanesque Church of Santa Maria Assunta will offer assistance with housing for modern pilgrims traveling the Francigena pilgrimage route. Monteriggioni was a sleepy village of farmers and sheep herders as late as the 1960's. Today it exists entirely for tourists and pilgrims. You'll find wine shops, a tasting room, restaurants and hotels in the small village. This is not neccessarily a disadvantage, although some times it's nice to see some locals puttering about once in a while. Where is Monteriggioni? Monteriggioni is located in the province of Siena, 14km to the northwest of Siena (54km from Florence). While it can be done as a day trip from Siena, you might be better off staying the night--Monteriggioni is much more evocative when the tourists leave late in the afternoon and you can sit in a courtyard sipping a glass of Chianti. Monteriggioni is surrounded by vineyards, and is known for its wine production.

Ancient Noblemen home in Radicondoli

We had a great time in Radicondoli. Really enjoyed the village and both restaurants were fantastic. People were very friendly and our host was great. Highly recommend the coffee shop for breakfast and took full advantage of the laundromat in town. Views from the patio were amazing. Look forward to returning and highly recommend.

Magical stay in a very unique property

Huge property with stunning view from terrace. However, it is a bit awkward to get around being on 4 levels. Loads of kitchen equipment which is a big plus. The single beds are a bit small for a large person like me. Radicondoli is a very friendly village with good cafe and restaurant. It is an ideal base to visit this beautiful part of Tuscany.

Four college friends spent a week at this villa, and we loved every minute. The villa is incredibly spacious with everything you need. Elena was an outstanding host who was very responsive to our needs. Radicondoli is a sweet town, laid back and charming.

The house was beyond amazing. Our Hostess made the process very easy. The village itself had several terrific restaurants, as well as groceries and other necessities. It is , however quite remote. Wonderful place to unplug and recharge your batteries.

Det er den hyggeligste by med fine spisesteder, en lille købmand og en bager. Selve huset er stort med fine værelser, en super terrasse - dog lidt langt fra køkkenet. Super med egen pool. Der er mange trapper. Der er ikke A/C i alle rum - kun i det ene soveværelse og i det rum, der er ved siden af poolen - det har en sovesofa. Resten af rummene har blæsere… Meget sød udlejer. Den ene gang vi havde bøvl med noget var der et godt samarbejde og det blev fikset med det samme.

Perfect place to enjoy the beautiful Toscana.

We loved the large and very beautiful house. We missed nothing. The house has got all comfort (we all loved the pool), is big enough for two families and is in the middle of a very cosy and awesome village. The people there are so kind and helpful. It was such a great experience to be part of this big family. We recommend all restaurants except the La Pergola. Too expensive and nothing for tourists. All the other places were great. If you would like to joyn the real spirit of the wonderful landscape of the Toscana, this is the Hotspot for you!

A little piece of Tuscan heaven

Our group of eight older adults absolutely loved this property and the village of Radicondoli. Several of us had spent time in Tuscany before but were just wowed by the village. It is so beautifully kept by the locals, has everything one could need for a week or more stay, including three fabulous restaurants, and nothing could be more enjoyable than an apertivo in the town square as the sun begins to set. The property itself is very spacious for a large group. Several of us enjoyed the pool, which was totally refreshing on a hot day. The rooftop patio offers a spectacular view of the surrounding Tuscan countryside. The village is a little remote, but day trips can be done in an hour or less. A car is an absolute must and the driving is often a bit hairy. This is a perfect property for those seeking a quiet, authentic experience in a medieval village.

Wunderschöne Toskana

Wir verbrachten zwei wunderbare Wochen hier. Wir reisten mit vier Teenagern und haben uns alle sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist wirklich äußerst geräumig, hat einen schönen Pool und es fehlt an nichts. Es ist schon etwas Besonders in so einem Haus zu wohnen. Es stammt immerhin aus dem Mittelalter und ist so alt wie die Stadt. Wir haben die freundliche Lebendigkeit dieses Städtchens sehr genossen. Gleich nebenan ist ein Einkaufsladen, was sehr praktisch ist. Die drei Restaurants und den Bäcker können wir sehr empfehlen. Auch die Vermieterin war äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Als wir etwas vergaßen, hat sie es umgehend nachgeschickt. Herzlichen Dank für diesen schönen Urlaub!

Belle découverte!

Magnifique palazzio au coeur d'un charmant petit village médiéval, perché en haut d'une colline. La région est très belle mais très calme. C'est une zone plutôt rurale. Si vous souhaitez trouver un centre commercial ou faire du shopping, il faut faire quelques kilomètres, et les routes ne sont pas super praticables. Il y a dans le village 3 restaurants mais pensez à réserver car ils sont souvent complets. Il y a également une supérette bien fournie, pas chère et très pratique. La maison est très grande et elle a conservé le charme de l'ancien, même si bien sûr on y trouve tout le confort moderne. L'accueil est vraiment sympathique, pourtant nous sommes arrivés très tard à cause de la circulation sur la route. Les draps et les serviettes sont fournis, mais pensez à prendre des draps de plage pour la piscine. Une clim supplémentaire dans la cuisine aurait été parfaite ;) Une très belle découverte pour notre première fois en Toscane!

Stunning village

Radicondoli is an absolutely divine village the people are incredibly friendly and helpful. The views from the magnificent old villa are fabulous as is the pool, on the very hot days it was such a welcome reprieve. The house itself has so much history but could do with an update. Upgraded bathrooms and a fresh coat of paint would be desired but without taking away from its charm. The house is extremely large so plenty of space to relax and enjoy.

Jolie maison dans le un superbe village mais complètement inadaptee a des personnes d’un certain âge a savoiir une terrasse pour les repas située à l’étage des chambres ( environ 20 marches ) cuisine en bas.... Descente à la piscine par des escaliers abrupts.... 2 chambres donnants sur la rue ou impossible de dormir avant 1h du matin car passage de personnes bruyantes et réveil à 6h30 du matin car cette fois passages répétés de balayeuse..... Pas conseillé aux personnes recherchant calme et repos !

Stay in a quaint village in Tuscany

The home was more than we could ask for. A very large home over 1000 years old right in the heart of this small but busy village. There was always people out at night gathering in the piazza. A little off the beaten path. A car is a must. We were able to visit Montalcino, Lucca, Florence, Cortona and San Gimignano from here. Definitely worth it!

The house is very spacious and comfortable in a charming place. The view from the terrace over the Tuscan hills is exceptional. The property is well equipped with enough equipment to cook. It was particularly hot when we were there and the pool was very welcome. Elena was very responsive and helped out quickly with a replacement when one of the fans broke.

La maison est agréable, grande, bien équipée. Tout à fait ce dont nous avions besoin. Mais le plus, c’est le village. C’est vivant, les habitants sont adorables. Je vous recommande particulièrement Domenico qui tient l’epicerie juste avant la maison. Le soir, un apéro avec des antipasti !!! Le bonheur. Les pizzas dans la ruelle en face avec une vue extraordinaire, le café du matin un peu plus loin..... Tout est formidable à Radicondoli !!! Profitez.
