Matterhorn Paradise?
Well priced and near zermatt aka the matterhorn, it did its job. Very clean room! The hotel was creepy because noone was at the desk for late check in. The hot water did not stay hot. The room had a balcony and nice view. The hotel has like 3 different names online.

All our guests have the right to be treated with dignity and respect in front of the common rules.Our efforts to protect all guests are big, about we made some common rules, that must be respected by everybody.To ensure a good night's sleep to all our guests, we do not accept too late check-in, or too early check-out, so we do not accept noises later the 21.00 and till 7.00.This common rule in the Matterhorn valley is depending also from the law.We are flexible and our guests have the possibility to enter or to go out from the hotel all the night, but they have to respect the other ones already present in the hotel.The silence in the late night have to be respected for live peacefully with all our guests.Anyway thank you for choosing our hotel for your stay in the Matterhorn Paradise and Zermatt.

Lastimosamente la experiencia en este hotel fue terrible desde el minuto 1 de haber puesto un pie dentro, necesitábamos dejar las maletas para poder aprovechar el tiempo por lo que llegamos temprano (antes de la hora del check-in) nos recibió gritando que tuviéramos cuidado con las paredes ya que según él se encontraban colgados cuadros de 25000 Francos Suizos (cuestionable), luego pidiendo a gritos solicitaba un código de barras la actitud del tipo es arrogante, prepotente y abusiva, no es necesario pedir las cosas a gritos de alguna forma el tipo se siente poderoso dentro de las paredes de su hotel. Luego del mal momento y de lograr hacer el check-in trato de arreglar un poco la situación ofreciendo llevarnos a una estación cercana para tomar el tren, nos comento que para comer se debía hacer una reservación le dijimos que no sabíamos que tal vez si pero lo importante acá es que nunca lo llamamos para confirmarla o le dijimos explícitamente que si, al llegar nos pregunto si queríamos la cena lo cual dijimos que no, esto lo hizo enloquecer y ofreció el momento mas incómodo que pude haber sufrido en un hotel, el tipo está completamente loco, por favor si se quiere y no está en sus planes sufrir maltrato no vaya nunca a este hotel, el tipo es impulsivo y no se sabe como actuara, las cosas pudieron haberse ido a gran escala si uno no tuvieron control de si mismo porque nadie debe aceptar ese trato, como ya estaba pagado y es complicado encontrar reservación él se aprovecha.

The hotel owner is a beautiful and lovely mom the name is Elena. It is a family-owned property about a 15 min train ride to Zermatt. The owners, Maurizio and Carol are delightful. Their son Mica was extremely professional and helpful. The rooms are small and be prepared to have about a mile walk uphill from the train station. However, we were not aware that we could arrange pick up. And, Carol graciously drove us to the train station upon checkout. They decorated the dining room beautifully for Christmas; and, Maurizio (also a chef) prepared a 5-course dinner for us. To top it off, we shared grappa with them after dinner. A wonderful Christmas experience!! thank you Carol, Maurizio, and Mica.

We were quite disappointed to learn that the hotel was not ski in/ski out as advertised. A cab or train was necessary to get to Zermatt. However Zermatt did not disappoint. We spent a week all over Europe and our stay in Matterhorn was definitely the highlight. The hotel was lovely and we couldn’t have asked for better service.

We have a slalom ski piste closed to the hotel and 12 km nordik ski area, but you was searching for Zermatt and the Matterhorn, about you have to reach 4.500 mts! Aniway thanks to visit my hotel.

Clean rooms, at far end of Randa
The room was a reasonable price compared to the other nearby options. The budget meal in the restaurant was 30CHF. The owner took some convincing that my room price included breakfast - I was glad to have the confirmation email from expedia. Wifi is only available in communal areas - not in the hotel rooms. My room had a lovely balcony overlooking the mountains.

No air conditioning except a little fan on the wall which didn't really cool down and was a little noisy. (Noise better than heat nights). Also the shower and toilet were 20 cms. apart and when taking a shower you just use a curtain. Have to use 2 plastic mats to stand on and the water didn't leave the floor properly. For a couple of days was bearable.

L'impression finale que laisse cet établissement est déplorable. En guise d'au revoir, vous vous faites engueuler par son responsable (ou patron ?) car vous n'avez pas précisé lors de votre arrivée que vous êtes garés sur le parking privé de l'hôtel ! Je l'avais pourtant bien spécifié par e-mail avant le début du séjour et ce monsieur m'avait répondu que c'était OK. En plus de cela, cher pour ce que c'est. A éviter absolument !

Terrible experience
Our stay was terrible. The man that runs the place is so argumentative, rude, and demeaning. We had tried calling ahead of time because we were worried we would arrive past the check-in time due to unexpected traffic delays. I called the number listed on their website numerous times throughout the day but never an answer. That part worked out fine because he had left the key on the front desk so we could get to our room. The next morning, I simply asked him about the phone number and he instantly became defensive. He said, “This isn’t a five-star hotel, what do you want me to do, sit here and wait for the phone to ring? You’re not in America.” I’ve lived in Europe for three years and I’ve never been treated the way he treated us this day. At one point in the conversation he snatched the room keys out of my hand and said it’s not allowed to leave the hotel because they are 200 franc keys. Initially we were considering extending our stay a second night but after the exchange with him we wanted to get as far away as possible. As far as cleanliness, there was another person’s hair on my pillow. He told us a few times to make sure the room stays clean which made me wonder how thoroughly it is cleaned between guests. Overall, I would never recommend this hotel and quite frankly I’m surprised it was listed on hotels.com

Site said free patking, but the owner said there is no free parking here, charged us. He also said he was going to upgrade our room, but once we indicated that we were not going to eat dinner there he said "never mind", and scratched out the room number on the paperwork. Our room had a sound like a demon scratching at the door every hour or so. On the whole the staff was gruff and unfriendly. They were not happy that we showed up before the 3:30 check in.

Absolutely not true, you made a booking for a Economy Double Room, Non Refundable, you have sleep a double standard room, you have not paid parking and also you have not requested dinner. 10 Chf have to be credited only in the restaurant bill and are not a refundable voucher. Thanks MM

It is a beautiful hotel
The view from the room is gorgeous and the staff is friendly. I just had an opportunity to have breakfast and it was simple but excellent (healthy) much better than any so called breakfast included places. The rooms are very clean too.

Romantic Weekend
My husband and I had a great stay! This is a great spot for a romantic getaway, because it's not directly in Zermatt with all of the hustle and bustle, but rather, is about 15 minutes away by car. This meant we could enjoy our peaceful mountain view together without distractions. The staff is incredibly friendly and I really appreciated the level of service they provided. I would stay again if I wanted a getaway in the mountains.
