Stowe Recreation Path Hotels

"The rooms are cute and clean. Nice bathtub. Small fridge. No kind of kitchenette space. We requested a room specifically so 3 people could stay and only got sheets on the main bed. Sheets per provided the next day. Hot tub was broken which was unfortunate. It would have been nice to know ahead of time. We did have access to the hot tub at the sister resort next door. Overall it is a good spot. Local free bus 108 pick up is across the street."

"The Inn is very charming and is on the national register of historic places. They had a restaurant open nightly with live music Friday evening, which made the experience special! The front desk staff were very friendly and the coffee and tea station with real half-and-half or whole milk was a nice touch!"

"This place is cute and convenient and we loved the room and the lounge. However, the hot tubs were broken. They were the reason we chose this place. No effort was made to inform us of this or make it right, other than the offer to drive next door (there may be paths in the summer but not in the winter) and use the indoor hot tub at bluebird. We paid extra to stay at the adults only resort with the nice outdoor hot tubs, so we are disappointed. The breakfast food was nice, but they have one person working the desk and the breakfast, and she was well behind keeping everything (coffee, cream, silverware, etc) stocked. Moral of the story is call ahead if you want to use amenities that could be out of service. We didn’t this time and we paid for it. "

"It is nicely located 10-15min drive from Stowe ski lifts. It’s like un upgraded motel. The lobby area is nice. Rooms are okay. Sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. The pull sofa bed wasn’t comfortable at all (even for kids). Bathroom was small and uncomfortable. "

"I was in Stowe last weekend and broke my shoulder so the next day I stopped by the Grey Fox inn to ask the if they could please cancel my reservation because of my accident. I was aware I had made the reservation through Expedia and was also aware that the cancelation date was over due. I explained the situation to the front desk girls (2) and both said I had to contact Expedia. I did, Expedia contacted the hotel and the hotel said no...I'm sure they double sold my room since they know I was not coming...thanks for your help"
