“Beautiful rooms and grounds. Room service food did not have a cover so it got wet in the rain. Free breakfast was ok, nothing special.”

“The location of Misty Bay is fantastic. It’s extremely quiet and the views are gorgeous. The grounds are immaculate. Phil, our host, was most welcoming. Our room was beautiful, the linens were pristine and our bathroom was modern with even a heated towel rack. There is an upstairs TV lounge, and down the hall from our bedroom was a wonderfully equipped kitchen - microwave, air fryer, cappuccino maker, toaster, fridge, kettle- teas, coffee, biscuits, cartons of water and milk in the fridge. “It’s hard to give a fair critique as they were under construction while we were there. However the room was beautiful. No electricity in the bathroom otherwise very modern and stylish. The breakfast was really well done. A great location for accessing the national park. Lots of places to eat in area and walk.”

“The check-in was an indicator of how the stay would go. We were given room key and told it was straight down the corridor opposite the reception desk. It transpired that the room was almost at the furthest point one could be from the reception area and involved a number of changes of direction and finally a very steep and narrow staircase with literally no landing outside the room. It was well that we were both able bodied as it was a struggle to get our suitcases up the stairs. The……
