A Fascinating and perhaps haunted hotel off the beaten track. You will drive through the beautiful mountains to get there and it’s located in the shadow of an ancient Abby. The staff is lovely, the food at the in-house restaurant is great. And definitely get a bottle of the house red (it’s amazing). You will not be sorry you made this journey.

First off - the very mountainous drive from the Firenze outlet sores takes 30 minutes NOT 18 minutes so beware. Staff - very nice Room - very outdated Restaurant - meh - although it shows a menu there was only a menu du jour available Food was not good - half of the wine list was not available . You are almost stuck - nobody wants to get back in the car and drive (no lights anywhere) 30 minutes from the top of the mountain and back to find another restaurant Bar - not attended. Front desk had to call someone. As I said - outdated and boring

È già il secondo anno che andiamo a trascorrere il ferragosto a Vallombrosa per sfuggire al caldo di Firenze. L’albergo è molto accogliente e davanti all’abbazia oltre ai principali sentieri da percorrere. Il personale è molto accogliente.
