"L'Antica Locanda" House

"The ancient Locanda" is a house / apartment located in the northern district of the Municipality of Reggio Calabria, in the area that was already "Comune di Catona". The house is on two levels, ground floor and first floor, served by an internal staircase, and consists of 2 bedrooms, both on the first floor, for a total of 4 beds (2 singles in one room and one double in the other) , a living room with a sofa bed and two large armchairs, a large room / kitchen, two bathrooms, one upstairs and one on the ground floor, a large courtyard.
Around the apartment there are all the services needed for a peaceful stay, reachable on foot in a few minutes: supermarkets, bars, restaurants, shops, hairdresser, pharmacy, bus ...
The car parking is free, free, on the street. In front of the apartment there is a small park with plants, palm trees and other trees.
At about 80 meters, on the Via Nazionale SS. 18, there is an ATAM bus stop whose buses (nos. 101, 102, 103, 104, 105) take you to the historic center of Reggio Calabria, from where buses also leave for the tourist resort and aspromontana ski resort of Gambarie.
The neighborhood of Catona is a charming town of about 15,000 inhabitants which, in the northernmost coastal area of the city, overlooks the Strait of Messina.
The 1.5 km long Catona beach is one of the sites of Community importance, that is, places of significant environmental interest within the EU; formed by a white sand with medium grain and is pleasant for the bather. The sea is transparent, crystalline, cold and normally calm (unless there is a sirocco wind). The Catona beach has a characteristic, it is enough to dig a hole in the sand to find fresh water, even on the shoreline. Some link this phenomenon to the most famous miracle of San Francesco da Paola (1464).
