「Great quiet place to gather in fall/winter when the weather means you want to spend more time indoors. Very authentic old house but has all the necessary updates. The stairs to bedrooms are extremely steep - I'd be nervous of some kids around them. The host has clearly put a lot of work into it - lots of extra touches to make it homey.」

「An exceptionally well equipped cottage with everything you could possibly need for a vacation stay. Quiet location with great trails for walking and biking. Very close to Rathtrevor Provincial Park, practically across the street. Close to Parksville and all of the town's amenities. Karen was wonderfully easy to communicate with and responded to all my questions. Lucky us, we had exceptional weather too in which to enjoy the area.」

「Our hosts were very accommodating on our month long stay at Starfish Cottage. We brought our bikes with us and there was a very nice storage area for them that was unexpected. The location is great. We often got to see dear on our evening stroll with our pup Coco. It was also a short ride to the beach and coffee. The cottage it’s self was nice with lots of room and everything we needed for our stay. Penny and Julie were very responsive to our questions- excellent hosts. Hope to stay here again.」
