“Beautiful grounds and gardens. View from restaurant is stunning. Private parking was so helpful and provided peace of mind. Included breakfast is excellent! Rooms are adequate, but small. Beds were ok. Conveniently located to lake side park on one side and shops on the other. Restaurant food and service is very good! One of our favorite places on Lake Atitlan”

“I spent one week at Amankaya and had a great time! Fernando is an amazing host that always goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. The location is a bit secluded from everything but theres a boat that can pass by the lakehouse 3x a day which makes accessing all of the other villages very easy. There is complimentary water and kayaks available. The kitchen is very big and very well stocked. Theres also a lovely dog and 2 cats to keep you company. I'd recommend Amankaya to……

Off the beaten trail (so quiet) but near really good food and pretty much everything within a 10 minute walk. The room we stayed in was a bit strangely laid out but very clean and had a strong fan over the bed - nice detail. Plants are beautiful but a bit on the over grown side. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The location was perfect, with easy access to the lake, restaurants, and local attractions. “The hotel was undergoing construction during my stay. This was obviously undisclosed and taking place right above my head, starting in the very early hours of the morning. Every time we tried to talk to someone about it to see if they could move us to a new room where it wasn't above our heads, they would say that that day was the last day construction was happening. This wasn't true. The showers are also dodgy with wires showing. The hot water didn't work for half of our stay. They did try to……
