This was our second time staying at this beautiful lake home with our adult children and grandchildren. There was plenty of space for the ten of us. We enjoyed using the paddle board, kayaks and rowboat. The grandkids had fun swimming out to the raft and jumping off over and over again! The lake is beautiful and peaceful, ideal for a relaxing vacation. Every day we saw numerous deer and loved seeing the fawns with their mothers. We look forward to returning and have already booked a week for summer 2026. Thank you for opening up your lovely home for others to enjoy!

Great Up North Stay

There were 4 of us staying there (2 couples). We enjoyed our stay! The kitchen was stocked for our cooking needs. We enjoyed the water craft. The location was great for going on the bike trails in the area. Thank you for opening up your home!

Great time with old friends!

Had family friends come visit from out of state with their 14 and 17 year old. Had a great time in town and then coming back to the house to relax. Great property and great location!

Our family had a great time! The amenities were pretty accurate as listed. The area is very quiet with abundant wildlife. The use of the kayaks, boats and paddle boat was nice and kept the kids busy. The fire pit was not described well in the listing but deserves to because it was fantastic… 4 porch swings surrounding a large fire pit. I wish we could have used it more. Some of the amenities were outdated and are in need of replacement. I do believe that the owner should include instructions on what to do in the event of warm temps. It reached 86 degrees on one of the days during our stay. The unit does not have A/C. This isn’t completely unusual for the area but we turned the thermostat to A/C before leaving for a day of boating (on another lake). When we got back, it was 79 degrees inside. Once we realized the issue, it was already 10:30 PM. We were able to open all of the windows and get the fans going but it was still 75 degrees at 9:00 AM the following morning. Our youngest grandson suffers from febrile seizures. If we knew about the lack of A/C we could have taken the necessary actions to ensure that the unit was well ventilated throughout the hot day similar to the preventative steps we took to keep our grandson cool in the outdoor heat that day. Labor day 2024

It was beautiful all the activities that were available boats, kayaks and games awesome. The house could use a few repairs but good condition. In descriptions it stated parking for 6 vehicles you better all have small vehicles to fit. Overall it was AA+++ We made Great memories Thank you will come again.

Beautiful Lake House

Nice home on a quiet lake. We had plenty of room for six adults and four kids ages two through eleven. The kayaks and raft were a big hit with the kids!

2024 Family Getaway

The property was as advertised! Clean cabin with plenty of room and all the creature comforts of home. Outside area and water recreational equipment could use some TLC but we cleaned up the kayaks and beach area to suit our needs. The swimming area is ok and the fishing was pretty good. Nice fire pit down by the lake which was a nice relax area at night. Great location, close to food, entertainment, state forests, and shopping needs. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful place to relax.

Fall Colors!

Came for the fall colors and did not disappoint! It was raining acorns most of the week also. Enjoyed the local deer herd, they really liked the acorns lol! We had nice weather all but one day. Really nice area, went s×s one day, what a beautiful ride!

Lovely and Tranquil

Perfect location for a peaceful family getaway. The home was large and had everything we could need, yet close enough to town that we could make a quick run to the store. The water was calm and we appreciated the paddleboard, and Kayaks that were made available. We have already booked a return trip for next summer.

Wonderful family getaway!

Northwoods Tuckaway was the perfect place for our family getaway vacation. Our group included eight adults and four children (ages 3-12). We were in the water every day, swimming, fishing, kayaking, boating, and just floating. The older kids loved the raft while the littles did great jumping off the dock. We cooked suppers over the fire pit, made s’mores and hung out on the swings late into the evening. Town is very close by, so it was just a short drive to the flea market, Wildwood Zoo, bait stores, and grocery stores. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Great Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 children. Weather was perfect so we spent most of our time outside. We brought our own paddle boards and they were perfect for the small no-wake lake. House inside was a little dated and the outside area could use some minor updates and repairs to make it even better. Definitely would go back for another stay. Make sure to bring your own wash clothes, hand towels, hand soap, and paper towels.
