Prided for being the oldest hotel in Denmark, you can feel its history the moment you step into the lobby, with its charming period furnishings. If you want a true taste of history, this is the place to stay. The rooms are adequate and warm, though ours had a rather slanted floor. The location is excellent.. right next to the cathedral and at the start of Ribe’s old street, two of the town’s main attractions. A small hiccup during check-in: there was no one at reception, and calls to the provided number went unanswered, which meant we couldn’t access the private parking. Breakfast, however, was fantastic, with a nice variety of options.

Otroligt trevlig personal! Fint och rent rum (bodde i annexet). God frukost, men lite mindre urval än vanligt. Historiskt hus i historisk stad. Lite svårt att kunna ställa bilen nära för att lasta i och lasta ur bagage, ffa på söndagen då hela området runt hotell och domkyrka stängs av för biltrafik.

Morgenmadsmenuen var standard, men brød til skæring slap ofte op, og bacon var tørt og hårdt. Parkering koster 150 kr i døgnet 50 meter fra hotellet, men gratis på en øde parkeringsplads 750 meter væk. Man skal være sikker på at vælge seng ved bestilling, ellers ender man på en gammel 140 cm madras.

Morgenmad og service i top, men brusekabine muggen

Endnu et ophold på Hotel Dagmar. Som altid god service, dejlig morgenmad, god seng og central beliggenhed. Men! 1) Desværre bliver man ikke spurgt ved bestilling og checkind om man vil spise på restauranten. Hotellets gæster burde have borde til rådighed. At sidde i kældercafeen er ikke det samme. 2) Desværre er rengøringen et tilbagevendende problem, specielt når det gældere de dyrere værelser. Brusekabinen havde store belægninger af SORT MUG og SVAMP på alle fugninger og hjørner. Det må ikke ske, føj. 3) Borehuller i klinkerne på badeværelse var dækket af Gaffertape. 4) Bordet under Nespressomaskinen var så skjoldet og krakeleret at..... Ikke pænt. Men jo historisk hotel, alt er charmerende skævt, service og morgenmad helt fin. Jeg kommer tilbage. Men personale/ledelse kan godt tage sig sammen på andre punkter.

Parkering ca 500 meter væk. Virkelig hyggeligt gammelt hotel. Det er så skævt at min søn sagde at det var som hurlumhejhuset i Tivoli. Små værelser. Gode senge, dyner og puder. Lige over for domhuset. Perfekt beliggenhed midt i gågaden.
