Spectacular setting! Generous and accommodating hostess. All supplies plus extras provided. Boat dock, kayaks, outdoor kitchen, park-like setting, loons, eagles, deer, jetted tub for two, and more. Would be ideal for family reunion with 3 cabins, hookup and plenty of green space along shoreline.

We liked the easy access to the dock and water. We didnt like all the lily pads. I had wished i could have gone swimming off the dock. We loved the screened porch and hot tub.

Wisconsin Cabin
Overall the cabin is in a wonderful cove. The paint on the outside is very weathered. The shower is super small. We did not spend much time in the cabin except to sleep and shower. The owner was in good communication. Thank you.

Thank you for the review, Beth! After purchasing the property 5 years ago I have made many improvements to the cabins/property which included the great outdoor kitchen/patio area with the fireplace. Last year the Edgewater Escape cabin got a facelift with new siding and windows. Next spring the Barefoot Bungalow cabin in which you stayed is scheduled for some updates including new siding and windows. Hope to see you back!

Peaceful and quiet wooded spot
Property is small, but had everything we needed. Lake pretty weedy in the dock area. Boat ramp nearby worked out well. Really loved the community patio area! Shady most of the day, seating very comfy, and having use of the gas grill was great!

Thanks for the review! Glad you enjoyed the peace and quiet of my unique property. Last year I installed a new tankless water heater in the cabin so my guests never run out of hot water, a must for the jetted tub.

Wonderful Cozy Getaway!
My husband and I had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Hemlock Hide-A-Way! The cabin was spotless, the kictchen was fully stocked with everything you need to make a meal and the bed was SO comfortable! The property grounds itself was super quiet, so peaceful to look out on the lake and we enjoyed a fire in the new shared patio space. Check in was a breeze and if you're bringing your boat - the boat landing for Hemlock Lake was a 5 minute drive away! Plus, there is SO many great restuarants and places to visit within a 15-20 minute drive! Can't wait to come back!

Barefoot Bungalow
This property is amazing!! It was our third year coming to this particular lake. “Red Cedar”. We love the lake, we love the surrounding little communities and the people. We stayed at 3 different places all 3 years. This was our favorite by far! We will be back next year and years to come! Julie is a fantastic host! Cabin was clean and had all the little things we needed to make our stay a little easier. Charcoal and firewood was provided. There was an instapot. Garbage bags and paper towels. Plates and kitchen tools. The dock and fish house were must haves for booking and the whirlpool tub was a must have for me! Absolutely amazing week. Patio is awesome for romantic fires or cooking with your group. The patio is shared by the other cabins too…but we never did have any one join us. A+, 5 stars from me. I haven’t been home 24 hours and already can’t wait to get back to my bungalow lol!

Perfect get away cabin close to all you want to do.
The weather was cold, but the fish were biting well. Julie, as usual had our cabin spotless and ready for us. The property location fits our fishing, kyaking, walking, and shopping needs. We're already planning our next year stay in Barefoot Bungalow. Awesome

Secluded and Right on the Channel between two lakes
We greatly enjoyed our stay. It was a cozy cabin fully equipped with kitchen supplies, lots of towels, a very comfortable bed and a double whirlpool tub which actually played into why we choose to stay there. The new owners (3 years), are slowly working hard to update and keep the property going. They understand how important maintenance is and are giving it their all keeping within dollar budgets. I was a business owner myself and oooh do I understand this. You won't be disappointed booking a reservation at Hemlock Hideaway!

Hide-a-way
We enjoyed staying at Hemlock Hide-a-way. We chose this location because of the easy access to the lakes for fishing and kayaking. We were on the lakes most of the day and early evening and thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

A Wonderful Wisconsin Vacay!!
Julie was a wonderful host with lots of thoughtful touches to the decor and comforts that made our stay lovely. A quiet cabin tucked in the woods so you can relax and enjoy. Nice Stay
We had a good experience. The bed was very comfortable, the knives were top notch. We loved kayaking and bicycling the ATM road trails. There was little to no traffic and the roads are great. Overall, the cottage was comfortable but my husband who is 6 foot one inches tall kept hitting his head on the lights. The internet works slow at times which is to be expected this far north. Julie was kind leaving us many comfort items. Thanks

Relaxing long weekend getaway
My husband and I booked this cabin for four days to celebrate my 60th birthday. It was exactly what we wanted, and met all expectations. Julie was a pleasure to work with, and answered all my questions promptly. When I mentioned I had four girlfriends joining us for one day to enjoy the water, she informed us that another cabin on the property was available for one (or two) nights. My friends jumped at the opportunity! After seven hours on our ski boat, my husband grilled supper for us all at the outdoor kitchen. We laughed well into the evening around a cozy fire too. As for the cabin itself, it has everything you can possibly need. The bed was super comfy, and I liked the pillow so well, I peeked under the pillowcase to see the brand name. Thanks, Amazon Prime! :) Don't hesitate to book this property. It is well maintained, and a great place to relax and unwind. Two happy guests

Great time!
This was a great getaway with an awesome lake, cabin, and host! The cabin was clean, cozy, and had most everything we needed! It was easy to find and was close to the water. The outdoor area was an awesome addition, and everything was easy to take out/put away and find!

Beauty and quiet in the Northwoods
These cabins are so darn fun to stay in! It really felt like we were back in the "good old days" of summer resorts on the lakes. It's a beautiful property that Julie has created and you will feel the serenity! Go ahead and leave your electronics at home and soak up the lake sounds!! The cabins are very comfortable and well stocked with everything you need. The jacuzzi tub was amazing. The outdoor kitchen and lounge area is fabulous! Rice Lake is a great little town and a great location for other sights in the surrounding area.

Brad and Cathy were wonderful guests! Sounds like they really enjoyed the surrounding small towns (so much to see and do) on their outings. They shared with us the most amazing homemade bratwursts I've ever had. I hope to see them back soon.

Great accommodations at a very fair price.
Our cabin was the perfect size for my wife and me. Even in the brutal 90 degree plus Temps the cabin stayed comfortable. The fish cleaning room was well maintained and very clean. We used it daily! The cabins location was also great in that it was minutes to Rice Lake, Spooner, and Burchwood. We met Julie shortly after arriving. She's very friendly and took all the time needed to explain all questions on the cabin and boat launches. We plan on returning in the near future.

The Perfect Weekend Hide-a-Way
My wife and I were looking for a quiet weekend getaway from our busy lives, and Hemlock Hide-a-Way was everything we could have hoped for. Julie was an excellent host, and the cabin was exactly as advertised: clean, cozy, and well equipped with everything we needed for a weekend away. If you're looking for some peace and quiet, with beautiful scenery to boot, you'd be hard pressed to find a better spot. We will definitely book again.

Peaceful, beautiful and comfortable!
Cannot say enough about this lovely property and the gracious owner. There were some problems with the cottage we had reserved due to a power outage the day before but she had another one at could stay in and we were able to move into the other cottage the second day. Both coaches were wonderful! Waking up to such a pristine view of the lake was heavenly. So many nice touches everywhere you looked. From the decorating to the amenities, fantastic all around. The outdoor kitchen and common area with a fireplace is gorgeous! And the peace and quiet was amazing! We loved fishing on the two lakes. Relaxing and fishing and not being crowded by a lot of other boaters and water sports was just what we wanted! We did NOT want to leave! Julie was so kind and accommodating - we felt right at home! We will definitely be back!

A Sweet Little Cabin!
I am so pleased with my stay at this cabin. The cabin was just as pictured, very clean and comfortable. Julie has thought of everything and then some when furnishing this cabin. She was wonderful to communicate with and answered all my questions quickly. Cedar and Hemlock Lakes were great for kayaking, although my preference was Hemlock Lake being the smaller of the two. This cabin was just what I needed and will be making this a yearly vacation destination.

Great Getaway
Normally we stay in Rice Lake but our 15 yr old son insisted we try Julie's cabin. It did not disappoint! The cabin was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities that we needed. It was nice to have the dock for our boat and the fish house to clean our fish. Julie and Tim were very accommodating hosts! We will be back!

It was a pleasure to meet Connie and her family! Communication was good from the first inquiry until check in. We all enjoyed watching the turtles come up from the lake to lay their eggs. I was pleased they caught a lot of fish and made use of the fish cleaning house. They left the cabin clean and tidy. I would sincerely love the opportunity to host Connie and her family again here in Wisconsin. Great family!!
