There was a bad smell in the lobby when we walked in to check in. We received our room key, went to our room and the smell was even worse in our room. We gave our key back and walked out. We would never recommend or go back to that place again.

You know those rooms that are "no-smoking" but still smell like smoke? This is one of them, it's just not an establishment known for their cleanliness and style. Still it was a bed to sleep in at the end of the day.

We do our best to ensure that smokers do not smoke in our nonsmoking rooms or common areas, both of which result in a bad musty smell; and when a situation like this occurs, we try to address it immediately, thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting to restore the clean smell of our accommodations. Guest satisfaction is top priority at our hotel; for that reason, we truly appreciate your feedback about the guest experience at the hotel. We do not allow smoking in common areas at all and we will be implementing stricter measures in the future. Thank you.

The pool was honestly the best feature of the stay, in the summer in Ridgecrest this likely isn't much of a surprise, but it was actually great. The bathrooms were the only less than stellar part of the stay, particularly the shower - honestly, with a modest bathroom renovation, this would be one of the best properties in town outright.

Some problems
There was no soap in the dispensers in our room. The continental breakfast was skimpy, including the fact that they were out of milk for cereal. All the cereals were sugary. Parking near our room was on the street, so we had to walk some distance around the building in order to use a hotel space. However, the room was spacious and clean.

People were nice but twice someone tried to come into our room while we were there . The breakfast was better in the past . Hand pancakes and eggs and better stuff .and three or four times someone came up to my son asking to use his phone asking for money and a ride .
