Hotel con un retrogusto di epoca sovietica, in particolare nell'arredamento delle camere e nel servizio (efficiente ma senza un sorriso). La mia stanza, inoltre, puzzava di fumo nonostante fosse non fumatori. Forse per la moquette e la maleducazione degli ospiti precedenti. Di sera inoltre l'ingresso non è visibile. Ristorante discreto, simpatico l'elefante Non ci ritornerei ma comodo con l'aeroporto

There is no heating, staff offered to downgrade my room but keep the same price of what i originally paid, told us to leave if we were not happy regarding their heating issue but not offered a refund. Its winter, when you book with a hotel you want to be comfortable but it was a bad experience and i had to leave the hotel and stay somewhere else. The staff were not helpful. Definitely would recommend to stay away from this hotel during the cold weather, there are not enough blankets that would keep you warm in that place! Expedia tried their best to help but the hotel refused to refund even after leaving the hotel once you check in!

Gutes Hotel zwischen Flughafen und Altstadt

Lage war für uns ideal, mit dem Bus nach Riga oder mit dem Zug nach Jūrmala. Großes Zimmer, umweltfreundlich, da eingeschränkte Reiningung. Nur das Frühstück war nicht nach unserem Geschmack. Wohl eher lokal

Nice hotel for a mini vacation

I had a nice stay at Rixwell Elefant. Before arrival I had emailed the hotel inquiring about a specific room which I was happy to get. Any question I had they could help with. The bed was unfortunately a bit broken, so I didn't sleep that well. Room 204.

Positive: Very comfortable hotel. The food was excellent, so we loved the room service. Staff was great. The hotel room was nice. The decoration of the hotel was beautiful. Negative: The breakfast in the busy time was the most chaotic breakfast experience I have ever had, because there were no clear signs where the line starts, people were rushing and there were no enough tables. The shower in our room was not in the best condition.

Someone opened our room door in the morning before 9 am. We think it was a cleaner, but we had not put the cleaning sign in the door, so we woke up to this, which wasn’t a nice surprise.

Just OK but not recommended

The hotel is located out of the city center but close to bus stops which make it easy to reach both citycenter and the Riga airport. Its breakfast was not the most fancy and it was just OK. Based on our stay experience at other 4-stars hotels, for a 4-stars hotel, a better breakfast with more variety was expected. Receptionists were not friendly while personals in the restaurant as well as cleaning staff were nice and friendly. Hotel has two wings and they are located almost like V-shape model. This cause rooms has a close view to each other and if your privacy matter, you should use black-out curtains, even during the day.

Great hotel near the Riga airport

Fantastic new and well-kept hotel! Location next to a busy ready, but keeping the windows closed blocks all road noise. Just beware that the black-out curtains are not so black-out, which might cause issues during the early morning sun for people with light sleep. Possibility of free parking on the streets next to the hotel (upon availability).

Ich war während der Eishockey WM dort (ungeplant) und musste den doppelten Preis für Übernachtungen zahlen. Frühstücksbüffet ist dürftig und völlig überlaufen gewesen. Das Zimmer welches ich gebucht hatte (Deluxe oder premium) war riesengroß im Vergleich zu anderen. Aufenthalt war gut bis auf den Aufschlag für die WM in Riga.

Ok hotelli huonolla sijainnilla

Hotellin sijainti on huono, ellei satu olemaan autolla liikkeellä. Ympäristö on aika epämääräinen, ja alueella ei ole yhtään mitään. Kyseessä ei siis ole joku lähiömäinen sijainti, jollaisissa Keski- ja Etelä-Euroopassa voi olla mukavakin majoittua, vaan syrjäinen hotelli lentokentän suunnalla. Viereiseltä tieltä kulkevat bussit keskustaan harvakseltaan, eikä ainakaan taviaikaan käveleminen alueella ole miellyttävää. Hotelli ei ole niin hieno kuin kuvat antavat ymmärtää, mutta ihan ok, kolme tähteä maksimissaan. Herkkäuniselle kadun äänet voivat kuulua turhan kovaa huoneeseen, tosin sängyt olivat mukavat. Hotellin ravintola on ok mutta kallis, eikä muuta ruokapaikkavaihtoehtoa lähistöllä ole. Aamiainen oli monipuolinen, mutta itäiseen tapaan poppi pauhasi aamiashuoneessa liian kovaa.
