We really liked our stay at Wellton City Spa. Nice, clean room and service minded staff. Very good breakfast buffet. The hotel is situated close to bars and nightclubs so expect noise from outside during the night.

Nice stay!

Location was perfect, close to all the tourist attractions and the bus stop to the airport too! Modern room too, walls were a little bit thin though, could hear next door.

Another great stay at this hotel. Very comfy and cosy. Lovely staff, very busy at breakfast so had to use overflow every morning. Lots of couples sat at tables for 4, but great selection of food. Lovely staff. Perfect location

Check-in staff are excellent. However, it was really hot in the room and they turn the air-com off at the end of august so sleep was difficult. This was further disturbed by the MASSIVE noise and bass music to about 3am (not the hotel's fault, but added to the horrible night's sleep over friday and saturday night). There are no glasses for water - just wine glasses, which are not practical for a bedside table. You have to refill water from the corridor - no complimentary bottle when you arrive. For room service it's opt-in, which is environmental - but if you forget in the morning, no clean towels for you. The spa reception staff (except the masseurs and Alina and Lina who were all great) were argumentative and surly. They force you to book on the internet even when you tell them "it doesn't work" (their response is: :"it must"). Then they don't get back to you at all, then you have to do downstairs and book in in person in the first place - which defeats the 'relaxing' element of a spa.

Value for money w perfect old town location

Excellent hotel in very good location. Superb breakfast and staff. Some small issue w housekeeping that was solved within a day (sheets in the room had some nicotine pouches fr prev guests lying around). But overall we loved the hotel and will def book this again if in the area again at some poikt.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. I expected that as an older building it would be somewhat outdated and old fashioned. In fact most of the facilities appeared to have been recently renovated from the huge triple room we had to the spa and the restaurant. Spa area is not huge but I enjoyed the wave machine in the pool and the sauna was the best I have been in. Breakfast was perfectly adequate. I didn’t dine in the restaurant but Easy Pizza next door was good. Location convenient for all attractions and we walked everywhere except the zoo which was an easy tram ride. Definitely recommend.

Overall this is a decent hotel. Room was reasonably sized and very clean. Furnishings a bit on the cheap side - bed and pillows were not great. Breakfast was ok albeit some of the items offered would not meet the standards of a top hotel or may be different to what you may be used to elsewhere (e.g. the 'orange juice' is clearly not from fresh oranges or even normal concentrate, the sausages are not normal sausages, all of the apples available each morning were long past their best and would not be considered sellable in a supermarket etc). Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Staff are generally quite direct but polite/efficient.

Great location. Bit simple for 4*. No robes, only “all in one” soap. No refill of minibar. Soap wasn’t refilled either so second day there was none to wash hands. Front desk doesn’t have access to refill any of the minibar at night (not even water)

The hotel & spa is situated on the edge of the Old Town.  Perfect for sightseeing.  I walked everywhere.  There are bars, restaurants and shopping located right on your doorstep.  Rooms were small and very hot despite it being cold outside.  The room included complimentary toiletries, an iron, a hairdryer, hot water and more.  There is a mini bar in the room too.  WIFI worked well.  The hotel was clean.  I didn't include breakfast nor use the spa.  My difference between a 4 and 5 star was that housekeeping was really badly done.  My bed was not made.  Clean towels were simply thrown in the bathroom.  The room was not tidied and none of the complimentary toiletries I had used were replaced.  The other reason were the mainly unfriendly staff.  Some were very nice and friendly, especially the male staff members.  I found the female staff members at reception to be unfriendly and cold.  Not one smile.  Otherwise, I was happy with my stay and the hotel is a good choice for a city break in Riga.
