Quietly situated on a sunny hillside in the heart of the Chianti wine route this charming, semi-detached holiday home is arranged over two floors and benefits from its private outdoor terrace. Surrounded by trees and a beautiful view of the surrounding area the house has been carefully renovated and lovingly finished in a typical Tuscan style, with terracotta floors and original wood-beamed ceilings.

The property’s main open-plan living room incorporates the kitchen, a dining table and a comfortable seating area furnished with a sofa bed and a flat-screen smart TV. The kitchen is equipped with; a gas hob, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, an American fridge freezer and a Mokka coffee machine. This airy, light-filled space leads out, through a large French window, to an alfresco dining area where guests will also find a rocking chair – the ideal spot for quietly relaxing with a good book.

Location

The property is located in the Hamlet of Valdarno, a 35-minute drive from the centre of Florence. The surrounding area is interspersed with Romanesque churches, vineyards and fields of olive trees. The closest town, Rignano sull\'Arno, is an 8-minute drive. Here guests can enjoy the weekly market and find grocery stores, cafes and bars.

The charming town of Greve in Chianti is a 40-minute drive. En route, guests can stop at Agriturismo Castello di Querceto (a 30-minute drive) and Tenuta Riseccoli (a 38-minute drive). Wine lovers can visit the beautiful Tuscan wine estates of Fattoria Torre a Cona (a 12-minute drive) and Ruffino Poggio Casciano (a 29-minute drive).

The medieval town of Pisa and the sandy beaches of The Tyrrhenian Coast are a one-hour and 30-minute drive away. Other popular excursions include visits to the historic town of Siena (a 1 hour and 15-minute drive) and Villa Torre a Cona (a 9-minute drive), one of the most beautiful villas near Florence. The neighbouring towns of Figline, Incisa Valdarno, Pelago, Pontassieve and Reggello, are easily reachable by car.

Fashion fans will be in heaven at the outlet shopping centres Firenze Mall and Leccio Mall, which are a 10-minute drive away. Here visitors will find labels including Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Burberry and Valentino.

For a day of ultimate relaxation, visitors can head to Rapolano Terme (a one-hour drive). This historic town is renowned for its thermal baths: Terme Antica Querciolaia and Terme San Giovanni, utilised since Roman times. Rich in minerals the thermal waters are believed to have therapeutic properties and the spas offer a range of wellness treatments and therapies.
