Large Vacation Rental Chalet Mountain Views 6 BR
Just 300 feet from the Eastern Continental Divide, this 5,000 sq. ft. mountain retreat was thoughtfully designed and built by its Civil Engineer–General Contractor owner. Every detail was planned for comfort, entertaining, and soaking in the spellbinding views. With 11 rooms and multiple decks, almost every space frames sweeping mountain ranges — from Grandfather Mountain to Tennessee.
Main Floor Highlights
→ Great Room: Vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, hardwood floors, a stone fireplace, and a glass wall showcasing unforgettable sunrises and sunsets.
→ Kitchen & Dining: Fully equipped with a gas range, separate electric oven, and patio doors opening to the main 80-foot view deck.
→ Master Suite One: King bed, vaulted ceilings, private deck access, spa-style bath with double vanity, Jacuzzi for two, and oversized glass-block shower.
→ Master Suite Two: Expansive bedroom with panoramic windows, walk-in closet, double vanity, and glass-block shower. Wheelchair accessible directly from the garage — no steps or ramps needed.
Second Floor
→ Two Queen bedrooms, one with a private deck.
→ Shared full bath and balcony lounge overlooking the Great Room and mountain views.
→ Kid-Favorite “Secret Room”: A built-in playhouse tucked into the loft, loved by families.
Ground Floor
→ Master Suite Three: Sleeps up to 7 with two full/twin bunks (plus trundle), and floor-to-ceiling windows looking out to the valley.
→ Additional Queen Bedroom: With private deck access and spacious bath.
→ Large gathering room with wet bar, panoramic windows, and deck with a 5-foot swing.
Outdoors & Special Touches
→ Professional landscaping across timbered, multi-level mountainside terraces.
→ Ideal for small celebrations — the home has hosted intimate weddings (25–40 guests) and even two memorable engagements on its decks.
Location Highlights
→ 15 minutes to Stone Mountain State Park for hiking, waterfalls, and picnics.
→ 15 minutes to downtown Sparta for small-town charm, shops, and dining.
→ 20–30 minutes to the New River for kayaking, tubing, and fishing.
→ 30 minutes to Elkin, a wine-country hub with restaurants and galleries.
