Lovely home on the golf course. Quiet and accomadating. We spent many days at the beach, but the home was more than we expected.

Beautiful home with pool and spa on golf course

The home is beautiful and we had a good stay there, but we were disappointed with the cleaning and maintenance of the property. Higher standards of cleaning are needed; we noted half a dozen issues on arrival. Some the Mgmt. Co. corrected next day, others we did ourselves. We also had no washing machine for the first 8 days, so Mgmt. Co. gave us a minimal credit. Conclusion: Happy, but also disappointed!

Good for Golfers

We arrived to find the home was in need of a deep clean. The management company was quick to respond and sent out cleaners to take care of the cleaning issues. It delayed us enjoying the property for two full days, while the issues were being taken care of...burnt out lights, missing lights, damp towels, lack of serving dishes and other basic kitchen set up items were missing, the managemnet company, took care of anything we needed quickly. House backed on to one of the many golf courses in Rotunda, which as golfers we thought was the best thing about the location....it was a good experience, and despite the issues, once taken care of I would rec'd this vacation rental...if the same management company was still the ones we had.

Rancid Maggot Infestation Leading to Serious Illness During Stay

This house had 2 garbage bins overflowing with food that contained an ungodly amount of maggot larvae and baby flies, also later found inside the refrigerator of this home. This hazardous contamination resulted in severe food poisoning, lasting the remaining 5 days of my stay. Global Resort Homes was contacted upon discovering this hazardous situation, and responded with promises for a Manager to call. This NEVER happened. Later that day, I called leaving another message with their office, and finally received a call back at the end of the day. The tone of the phone call from the management of Global Resort Homes was adversarial and dismissive as I explained the seriousness of the situation. It was understandable that they requested some proof; I sent them 2 videos of the maggots live & dead in the refrigerator. The management denied they had any record of my original complaint, two days prior, to which I sent them a screenshot of that phone log. Due to the gross negligence on the part of Global Resort Homes to properly clean the rental unit, I spent 4 solid days curled up in excruciating pain, cramps and vomiting, unable to eat or drink during this time. Through all the attempts to communicate with the management of Global Resort Homes, I have yet to receive so much as a simple apology for the 4 days of hell I went through due to their negligence and inability to provide safe and sanitary conditions for their guest at this property.
