Our adorable 1960s ranch home is pet friendly and fully furnished in style, featuring beautiful art and artifacts in a spacious and cozy setting with a lovely field view and mountains on a clear day in the background. Enjoy the relaxation indoors or out on the patio with your dog. Soak in the local flora and fauna. We are located in the hub of WNC, close to Tryon International Equestrian Center, Rutherfordton, Spindale, Forest City, Columbus, South Mountains, Marion, Blue Ridge Parkway, Rails to Trails Rutherfordton, and many local hikes and attractions. Pets LOVE it here, artists, authors, family reunion base camp, your home away from home. We encourage long term guests. Please send inquiry with dates needed if you are seeking a long term rental.
Two bedrooms -a KING and a Queen-with comfy memory foam mattresses and plenty of storage for your personal items, writing desk, closet, recliner chair, tv/dvd combo and piano. Linens are provided or you may bring your own. Big open living room with comfortable sofa, loveseat and chair, dining room for 4-6, chock full appointed kitchen and vista view out back, reading nook. Gas grill available for use. Keyed locked entry. Samsung Smart TV in living room w/Firestick capability, TV w/DVD player in bedroom, and FREE SUPER FAST 1 GIG INTERNET/WIFI, 4 A/C window units one in each room in summer/hot months, Heat is by natural gas wall heater & toasty gas logs in living room. There are also two electric space heaters for the bedrooms. Kitchen has all amenities for a cook~~Keurig Coffee maker uses standard K cups, Mr Coffee coffee pot, french press, gas cooktop, electric griddle/grill cooktop, large capacity Maytag wall oven, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and plenty of cooking accessories/pots/pans. Washer/Dryer. Games and books. Summertime air conditioning (4 a/c units) provided in each room.
Short drive or bike to the retail variety stores, convenience stores, general merchandise, produce stand, local pubs, ice cream, pizza, burgers, kids museum, coffee shop, thrift shops, and grocery. Forest City main street is a go to spot!
Let us know if you have special needs or allergies prior to your arrival and we will happily try and accommodate to make sure you stay is comfy.
We allow two cats or dogs. No dogs over 70 lbs. If you are bringing a pet, write this information in your booking inquiry, type and size of animal, breed, and any other pertinent info. We may not accept some breeds of dog; we may charge a minimal extra fee for certain pets, please inquire. Please respect the home and report any damages as soon as possible so that we may resolve any issues. You agree to compensate us for any damaged property. Look after pets and clean up after them; a pooper scooper is provided. Please no pets are allowed on the beds. If you are bringing a cat, please clean litter daily.
Home is comfortable to sleep 2 couples/4 people and we will allow 1 extra child or guest on the sofa for a fee of $30.
No smoking inside the home, this includes e cigarettes or vaping. Identify location of fire extinguishers for safety. Quiet hours are 10 p.m. until 7 a.m.
Check out time is firm at 11 AM so that we can adequately prepare for new guests. If you do not check out by 11 AM there is a fee of $50 which we will request through VRBO. You will be charged for a full night's stay if you do not check out by 11:30 AM.
We are a locally owned and operated seasonal rental home adjacent to historic Rutherfordton, NC in a friendly neighborhood 2 miles from the Rutherford Hospital & downtown Rutherfordton, 13.6 miles to Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC). Rutherfordton was founded in 1787 and has a rich history and is close to many tourist areas and local attractions.
