Rip off

Very friendly but also quite arrogant. We wanted to leave a day early as there was absolutely no real skiing and they insisted on charging us for a the last night. They also exchange at a horribel rate between Euros and CHF - they take a 20% commission. I just felt that this place was a rip off. We spent a good time but for that money the Chedi in Andermatt is 100 times better. I also felt that they had no understanding and just wanted to make money. Not going back. Palace in Gstaad is much better.

This is one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. The service is exemplary, making skiing, going to town for touring or eating seamless. Having ski rental onsite makes it so easy and convenient.

Exceptional on every level

Exceptional on every level. From the moment you drive into the entrance at the Alpina you are transported into the most wonderful, relaxing and magical environment. Every little detail is taken care of and the staff go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. The Concierge are the best I have ever experienced - miracle workers! This is our third trip to this hotel. My only disappointment is that I cannot live here full time as it’s just the most perfect environment.

Outstanding

Spectacular property, like a bond lair. Incredible underground entrance, there's nothing else like this place. No expense spared in designing or building this new and immaculate property. Pricey drinks but room rate included 100CHF per person per night in the excellent restaurants so food was basically free.
