Mariann’s passion for hospitality is reflected in her awesome staff—Claudio, Atanasio, Julia, and Lars—who each contributed uniquely to our delightful stay. Their attentive service and cheerful demeanor ensured that we felt valued and appreciated throughout our visit. The property itself exudes charm, with cozy interiors and beautiful views of the Norwegian landscape. The attention to detail in both service and amenities, from delicious meals made with local ingredients to inviting lounge areas, enhances the overall experience. In essence, our time at Hotel Union Oye was nothing short of magical. With hearts full of cherished memories, we left eager to return. "Wir hatten zwei wundervolle Ferienwochen in diesem schönen Ferienhaus. Trotz unserer späten Ankunft am Haus erklärten uns Hildegunn und Torbjorn alles Wissenswerte zum Haus und gaben uns Tipps für Wanderungen und Ausflüge. Das Haus ist praktisch eingerichtet, sehr sauber und ruhig gelegen. Am Nebengebäude mit Gefriertruhe und Spülbecken (innen) befindet sich auch außen ein praktischer Filetierplatz. Man kann ein Boot mit Motor mieten und damit im Fjord angeln (Seelachs, Pollack, Heilbutt, Plattfisch, Kabeljau, Leng, Rotbarsch, Lump). Vom Haus aus hat man eine wunderschöne Aussicht über den Vartdalsfjord und auf die schneebedeckten Berge am gegenüberliegenden Ufer. Unterhalb des Hauses kann man am Fjord erfolgreich angeln. Die Insel Hareidlandet bietet zahlreiche Möglichkeiten zum Wandern und für Ausflüge (zum Beispiel Wanderungen vom Parkplatz bei Øvrelid zum Melshornet / Rundweg Engeskaret nach Åsen und über Åsefjellet zurück / Rundweg von Ovråsanden über den Ovravegen nach Hareid, auf dem Rotarysteig zur Flussmündung Djupeelva und die Strandgata/Plassane zurück nach Ovråsanden/ Ausflüge nach Kvitneset – Bunkeranlagen aus dem zweiten Weltkrieg / Ishavetmuseum in Brandal/ Ovråsanden - Badestelle mit Sandstrand und Nationalmonument für Wikingerschlacht in 986/ Winkingerstätte Hjørungavåg / Schnellfähre nach Ålesund (Aussichtspunkt Aksla, Stadtmuseum, Atlanterhavsparken )/ Steinhügelgräber bei Ytreflø / Vogelinsel Runde)"

"Our family of two adults and three teenagers loved our stay in Saebø. We spent most of our time on daily hikes and day trips-- the hiking is challenging and highly worthwhile.The town has two small groceries open every day and a couple of shops open only on the weekends. The bakery is open daily and highly worth a visit. Rekkedal farm up the road is open for dinners two or three nights a week. A car is a necessity-- the ferry is about a mile down the road.The home is absolutely stunning-- well appointed and with huge views. All four bedrooms are downstairs, with the common areas upstairs. We have four days of great memories at this home."

"L’accueil, le personnel et le restaurant sont au-dessus de tout ce que nous avons vu jusqu’à présent en Norvège. Particulièrement l’équipe en place lors de notre séjour fut exceptionnelle. La chambre donnait sur le lac en arrière, magnifique vue, nous aurions pu y rester plus longtemps. Chargeurs pour RV sur le stationnement de l’hôtel. Merci pour tout. Nous recommandons à 100%."

"The house is spacious and very comfortable with three bedrooms. It is located up the hill just below the forest and fully equipped. It provides opportunity to sit outside, under the roof, and grill or enjoy the fresh air. There is a beautiful view from the kitchen and living room. Good location for fishing and holiday stay. We have stayed over there for almost two weeks and really enjoyed despite sometimes having bad weather. The owner is helpful and supportive. It is also easy to use the ferry to Saebo or next big town Orsta."

"Interesting lodging. It's an apartment building that seems to have longer term tenants, it's not really a hotel as there's no staff on site. We were able to reach a very helpful and friendly staff person via phone, however. Shared bathrooms, kitchen and living area. Clean. Good grocery market 2 kins down the hill. Overall, good value."
