This charming traditional character cottage has been lovingly renovated to provide you with comfortable accommodation. It is well equipped with comfortable furnishings and bedding. There are 2 romantic bedrooms, one of which has the original baked tiled floor & views over the ancient roof tops of the medieval market town. Being situated in the heart of la cité mediévale, this accommodation offers holidays for those wishing to immerse themselves into the french rural, pace and way of life. It is ideal for couples and families, for holidays, mini breaks, stop overs. The cottage is within easy reach of local markets which sell fresh, traditional produce. St.Aignan's restaurants, shops, river, indoor/outdoor swimming pools, are 5 mins walk. Situation idéale pour visiter les alentours .
Location permettant de découvrir les principaux châteaux en moins d'une heure. 5 minutes de Beauval.
St Aignan est agréable à découvrir: bons restaurants et animations en août.
A noter, location en centre du village. Amateurs de silence et calme s'abstenir.

Sympathique gîte, mais bruyant avec le marché qui s'installe sous les fenêtres à 6h du matin, et le proximité d'un kebab. Dommage, sans ces deux inconvénients il est agréable et calme, par son originalité.

Un séjour très agréable
Maison de ville charmante, bien située et bien équipée, et une propriétaire adorable - on a passé 5 jours très reposants avec nos 3 enfants, à visiter des châteaux et le zoo. Mention spéciale au restaurant "Sur le pont", en bas sur le Cher, délicieux et accueillant.

Great location, pretty old town on the Cher and comfortable stay!
We've had a good week and for sure St Aignan has proven to be a central location for exploring this part of the Loire-Cher region. The town and the gite have had all we needed - watching the market set up this morning- literally on the doorstep - and then listening to locals meeting, greeting and doing their shopping has been a great way to end our stay. As everyone else who has stayed here has commented, the boulangerie/patisserie just around the corner is exceptional!
We ate dinner in the town at Le Huit. The daily menu at 23 euros for 3 courses was a bargain for a delicious meal.
We've been out and about each day, lots of chateaux visiting (of course) - Chenonceau, Chambord, Villandy and Clos Luce all recommended. Amboise and Tours both have lovely mediaeval squares and buildings, but we recommend taking the train to Tours, parking for free at Noyer sur Cher. The Abbey at Fontevraud is a bit of a drive but worth it to pay respects to Richard the Lionheart and Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine.
The weather has been kind for the time of the year, but much of the tourist activities (apart from visiting the chateaux themselves) have come to an end.
We return home reluctantly, but with great memories of our time here.

Très bien pour visiter zoo et châteaux, de nombreuses activités disponibles à proximité
La petite boutique est pleine de charme, bien située, bien équipée. Un tout petit bémol pour l'isolation sonore, mais c'est très agréable aussi d'être dans la vieille ville.

Very pretty traditional French house
The house is well equipped. Situated centrally for local restaurants, shops and bars. ST Aignan-Sur-Cher is a delightful town on the banks of the Cher. There are several good restaurants in the town and we ate at most of them. Not one bad meal which is a bonus. The town is perfect for traveling to the many chateaux along the Cher and surrounding areas.
Highlights were the Zoo Parc at Beauval 10 minutes from the Town. Allow a full day as there is so very much to see and do. Amboise, the Chateau Royal and the home of Leonardo da Vinci, Montresor Chateau and the riverboat tour under Chateaux Chenonceaux. No shortage of things to do, just time to do it all.
The only down side was the bed and bedding at the house. It was 40 degrees and the mattress protector was plastic, the fitted sheet didn't and there was a warning that using other bedding would result in a charge.
There was a curtain in the bathroom which finished about a foot above the bottom of the window which was next to the toilet and opening to a restaurant next door. Nothing worse than someone catching your eye at that moment.
Other than that the sofas were comfy, there is a washing machine and dishwasher which is handy. There was a welcoming bottle of wine. Thank you.

Belle maison mais environnement bruyant
La maison est fidèle au descriptif, jolie et assez bien équipée, en plein centre. A revoir cependant la literie un peu ancienne et grinçante, le peu d'intimité à la salle de bains, le manque de casserole et poele grand format pour 5.
Mais le gros problème de notre séjour : le BRUIT occasionné par des bars aux alentours qui font de la musique jusque 4h00 du matin et le marché juste devant les fenêtres de la maison le samedi dès 5h00 du matin.
Nous avons donc écourté notre séjour car nous avons 3 enfants pour pouvoir dormir correctement à notre domicile, dommage !
La propriétaire se renseigne pour le problème généré par les bars récemment installés ....

Quel séjour enchanteur
Cette petite boutique nichée au cœur du ravissant village de Saint Aignan est confortable, chaleureuse, accueillante et très fonctionnelle ...Nous avons beaucoup apprécié ce séjour ..en raison notamment des magnifiques châteaux à visiter et qui sont tous à proximité ainsi que le zoo de Beauval qui vaut vraiment le déplacement ...
Nous vous recommandons et la maison et la région...

Quaint town and great setting
We enjoyed staying at La Petite Boutique. The property was quite unique and it suited our purposes very well. We enjoyed being right on the little square and the property was close to most of the chateaus and other sites we wished to visit including a trip to the Vouvray wine caves which was a very interesting side light. The town was beautiful with the river running by on the northern side and the parking around the town was easy to access. All in all a very good time and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

tres bien placé . pour le zoo et certains chateaux de la loire
accueil sympa . gite bien situé. frais l été . mériterait toutefois quelques travaux au niveau fenêtres ,volets et porte d entrée.
Pour l isolation phonique et ajouterait un plus pour l isolation.
