Tres agréable
Merci pour ce séjour fantastique. Les enfants ont apprécié la piscine et le sauna était très relaxant. C'était une maison très confortable avec tout le confort. Tout ce qu'il fallait était là.

Quiet hideaway
Fabulous facilities and plenty of space. Owner very helpful on arrival . Much better value than town or city centre properties. Travelled to watch rugby at Lille (45 mins easy drive) beautiful town of St Omer nearby . No shops within walking distance but boulangerie and small supermarket 5 mins drive .

Tale of two half.
So our stay was a mixture of good and bad. Sylvain is a friendly man, who when messaged was very quick to respond. During our stay there was an issue with the toilet in the house, which after being contacted Sylvain sorted promptly. However I will say that when booking the house it was not made clear that we needed to bring our own bedding and towels. Luckily I messaged Sylvain before our stay and found this out. I would like to point out that the listing makes it appear that there are 2 bathrooms in the house, however this isn’t correct. 1 of the bathrooms is with the swimming pool, which is in a different building. The swimming pool on the other is a great feature that we made great use of. The house itself is more rustic than appeared from the photos, a surprise on arrival. Further to this the house seems to be lived in when not rented out. By this I mean there are private bedrooms within and items of food and toiletries left in draws/cupboards. Also there was no hand soap or hand towels provided, something I find very strange with COVID being a recent thing. My only other issue with the property was that there numerous piles of dog/cat poo over the grass and around the children’s play equipment, something I find disgusting. I would ask that Sylvain makes an effort in the future that this is cleaned up for other guests. One final thought is that some money needs to be put into the house to make it more up to date and sort cosmetic things. The location is very beautiful.

Bonjour, je suis tres surpris par cette appréciation. Cela fait plusieurs mois que je loue ma maison et j'ai toujours eu de beaux commentaires et encouragements de l'ensemble des invites qui ont séjourné chez moi. Je ne suis pas responsable de la mauvaise traduction de mon annonce en français sur les autres sites étrangers. Sur mon annonce il est clairement indique qu'il faut ramener draps de lit, draps de housses, taies d'oreillers et serviettes. De plus il est également bien precise dans mon annonce en français qu'il y a une salle de bains dans la maison et une salle d'eau dans le bâtiment avec la piscine et le sauna. Je comprends le désagrément que cela aurait pu occasionné mais nous l'avions anticipe avec des échanges par messagerie. Le responsable est la plateforme ABRITEL et la mauvaise traduction de mon annonce. Je les ai appele pour leur signaler. Concernant les autres remarques, il aurait été gracieux de m'en parler de vives voix compte tenu de ma réactivité. Cordialement, Sylvain.

Ce séjour chez sylvain entre amis, nous a permis de nous reposer. La maison est propre et spacieuse, le jardin est très grand et la piscine et le sauna sont au top. Sylvain et sa famille sont super accueillant et très disponible. Je recommande ce logement.

Jolie maison spacieuse et bien équipée. N'hésitez pas à bien vous renseigner sur les réglages de chauffage dans la maison et au niveau de la piscine surtout si vous louez en mi-saison. L'hôte est très agréable et disponible.

Winter stay (celebrating New Years)
Sylvain was a very sympathic host. He was very flexible about our arrival time, easily reachable and he gave a nice tour. Its 1h drive from Cape grise-nez so very nice for a day trip. The house has all the accomadations. Good cooking equipment. A large TV and towels plus bed linnen. We had a good time and might return in summertime (when the pool is open).
