“The property is a charming historic hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool was lovely as well, though it was a bit chilly to use it. We enjoyed sitting beside it. “The hotel décor is good, very clean and comfortable. Staffs are excellent, friendly and patient. Breakfast is good. Hotel is next to St Lazard station, convenience to take train and metro. Unfortunately the shower room has no curtain, after shower, especially washing hair, toilet is all wet. If this is not improved, I don't think I will stay again as shower is very important after a long day without taking care of watering on the floor.”

“We loved this beautiful guesthouse and our gracious, welcoming hosts. Nelly’s jams and Franck’s yogurt were a delight at breakfast. If you are staying in Sarlat, try to stay here. “After reading a bad review, we were unsure whether to book but it was unwarranted because our stay was wonderful! The host was welcoming, helping us with a restaurant booking nearby. “A lovely family run hotel with attention to detail and great service. Great location, with a super pool (great for kids). Beautiful views across the hillsides. Breakfast was delicious and very fresh. Friday night BBQ and live music was a lovely experience. We visited a local Thai restaurant on Friday evening, as recommended by the hotel - they weren’t wrong. It was really tasty and the service excellent. All in all would highly recommend and would love to return to Hotel L’Abbaye!”
