"This was a lovely and cozy space and exactly what my partner and I needed for our short stay in Perigord. Check in was a breeze and the kitchen was well stocked and comfortable for making a meal. Communication with Julie was easy and she was always readily available. The cabin is about 5 minutes from Saint Leon sur Vezere and maybe 10-15 minutes from the nearest large grocery store in Montignac. Also, the air conditioner works like a dream! "We have been in France for about 2 weeks, staying in a variety of places and I feel like we hit a home run with our stay at Hotel Bon Encontre. Christine is an extremely accommodating host who worked very hard to meet guests' needs. The hotel is in a wonderfully central location for exploring Dordogne. There is ample parking, which was a relief after fighting for parking spaces elsewhere! Breakfast includes cheeses and meats, breads and a different sweet treat baked in house. It's a very reasonable cost. We happened to visit when the temperature soared into the 90s, so cooling off in the pool was a relaxing way to spend a couple of hours before dinner. I would highly recommend this location!"
