Pompano Beauty with a View to Die For!

  • If Fripp Island is your destination, then this is the house you will want to stay at. We are full members of the Fripp Island Club & Amenity Passes to use the facilities on Fripp Island are available. It is conveniently located a short stroll from the ocean and beach club, and is seconds away from the Marsh. It can easily accommodate large groups of people with spacious living areas. The house is newly renovated, and the kitchen is state of the art. The great room is an unbelievable space to entertain many and a view to die for. At the end of the day, you can even relax in the sauna located in the back ensuite!

    Everyone over the age of 13 must have an amenity pass to use the amenities (pools, restaurants, etc.). The summer weekly fee of $55 per pass and the 12.8% resort fee is paid directly to the FI Club upon arrival. Summer rentals (June - August) are from Saturday to Saturday only. For holidays such as Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's rates and length of stay may be adjusted. Longer term rentals during the fall and winter are considered. A four seated Golf cart is included with rental.

Pompano 2023

Great location on the island. The house had everything we needed for a great week. Lower level is a bit rustic but perfect for boys. Host was super responsive when there was a minor issue with a bathroom sink. All in all another 5 star week at Fripp Island - we hope to make it back soon.

Family Beach Week

Conveniently located to island center and beach access. Wonderful great room and kitchen. The two main level bedrooms/bathrooms and upstairs master suite were all good. There is a basement bedroom with four twin beds that was not particularly good for sleeping. We really appreciated the use of the golf cart and amenity cards. The main drag, while busy, was not noisy inside the house. Would stay here again.

This house is lovely and perfect for a large family. It’s centrally located and comes with a golf cart and amenity cards. We had smooth in/out and great contact with the hosts. We would absolutely stay here again. The living areas and bedrooms were great. I loved the bunk beds over the queen bed. The primary is excellent and has tons of space. We also really enjoyed the Sonos system. I do think it’s fair to call out the ground level bedroom. My kids really enjoyed the game space but no one would sleep down there. I’m from the Midwest so grew up staying on lakes and I’d compare the basement room to staying in a cabin. We saw several large spiders and it smells more cabin then house. The ground floor AC does work well though. If your kids grew up like me, they’ll be fine, but my kids were a hard no. Overall, this is great property and we would absolutely rent again, we’d just know the fourth bedroom isn’t going to work for us.

Fantastic location!

We loved being in the heart of it all. Beautiful view, great sunsets, and wonderful for the teens to go back and forth from. The golf cart is in great shape and we were thankful to have it. This rental house is a fantastic value. I miss drinking my coffee on the front porch! Lots of TVs, big frig and double ovens are a big bonus!

Modern, clean, close to everything and exactly as described

The house was very roomy and well-equipped/ stocked. The space was great for our size group, 10. Rooms were good size. Main gathering area was spacious and a wonderful space to accommodate us all. We cooked every meal - no bumping into each other. Sonos speakers were a hit. The location was perfect... just private enough, yet close to everything. Hosts were accessible and very easy/ pleasant to work with.

Great family house

My family of 4 plus my brother in law’s family of 4, and my mom stayed in this house. It was a great size for all of us. Everything was very clean except the floor. The kitchen had a great supply of pots and pans and the washer and dryer were very nice. We felt the basement could have been better but it was nice to have the space. Owners were very responsive and helpful, even during our stay.

This was a nice house with a great location. Well stocked kitchen and nice amenities. The only reason we didn’t give a 5 star is the basement. We read the reviews about the musty basement and didn’t think our teenage boys would care. But there were also spiders and they opted to sleep upstairs. It’s unfortunate that this space isn’t really useable as a 4th bedroom.

Fantastic Vacation!

The house was beautiful and extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The host was responsive and reached out close to the checking date to confirm everything. There is beach access but it is a little of a hike from the entrance to the beach. However, that being said when you get to the beach it is basically your own private location. Absolutely beautiful! My only critique is the fourth bedroom was in the basement and it was very musty. The other three rooms were amazing. I would definitely recommend this house.

Beautiful property

We absolutely love Fripp Island and this was our second year visiting. Our group was my mom 73, myself and 4 teenagers. We had hoped the teenagers would take advantage of the basement, but there was black mold on the ceiling and even teenage boys didn’t want to sleep there, so we all slept upstairs. Overall the property is absolutely gorgeous with close proximity to everything. It had everything you could hope for in a rental, just don’t be surprised if the downstairs beds aren’t used.

Not as advertised

When we arrived at 700 Pompano we were very disappointed to find that the basement bathroom was actually an outdoor shower with an opening under the wall to the outside. The basement bunk room was room that we planned to use for my teenage nieces, but it adjoined the area where there was this outdoor shower and my nieces didn’t feel comfortable staying there. The whole basement smelled very strongly of mold. This was not made clear in the description of the property.

Great Location

This house is conveniently located mid-island and across from the marshes. It’s large but a little chopped up. Everyone kept getting turned around. We enjoyed the large windows overlooking the marsh and the wrap around small porch. Unfortunately, the house was very dirty. Our feet were black after walking barefoot in it. Baseboards were coated with dust, and the basement was musty and moldy. Some of the sheets on the bed were dirty! There were a few rotten boards in the floor of the porch. The silverware was corroded and some of the dishes we had to wash before using. Overall, this house was a big disappointment, and we wouldn’t stay here again.

Wonderful

Great place to stay. beautiful house to use as a home base and to come home for some family time with enough space for quiet when you need to get away. The owners were very helpful. I will look to stay here again.
