This has nothing to do with the building or contents but the fact that there is a large construction site, separated only by a 3-meter wide gravel path directly outside the villa.
Every morning around 7:30 a.m., were were woken by deafening noises (excavators, trucks, vibrators for soil compaction, etc.) We sent videos to Hoomy as proof.
A landlord, should assume that anyone booking a villa with a pool, garden and terrace will want to use these amenities during the day. This was absolutely impossible during our stay so we were forced to take daily tours that we hadn't planned.
Hoomy should have informed us about this inconvenience before our last payment on August 18, 2023. At this point, we could have cancelled the booking with a 100% refund. Hoomey knew that the construction site had been set up several months before.
Only after informing Hoomy that we would take legal action, were we offered a ridiculous refund amount of €520,00 for our inconvenience. We are still considering taking legal action.
We find it unbelievable that this agency is advertised as a premium host on FEWO.direkt.
As this construction site will continue for another 12-18 months, we wouldn't recommend bookings before September 2024.
However, we would like to mention that our direct contact Nadine deserves 5 stars, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank her for understanding our situation and finding a solution for various issues.
