Holiday Home in Romefort near Lac de Vassivière

This spacious holiday home welcomes you to relax and unwind in the most fantastic region! There is a private terrace where you can start the day with a relaxing cup of coffee and a meal of your choice or enjoy a dip in the swimming pool which is also shared by other guests. There is plenty of space to enjoy the morning sun. The house is an ideal vacation for a large group of friends or families.

The Domaine de Romefort is located 20 kilometers from the university town of Limoges. Limoges has around 150,000 inhabitants and is well known for its porcelain. There are many museums and plenty of opportunities for daytime and nighttime activities. Just 5 minutes from the Domaine de Romefort is the medieval village of Saint-Léonard de Noblat. Here you will find cozy cafes, good restaurants and well-equipped supermarkets. The old center of the village is magnificent and the famous church has a particular architecture. It is well known as a tourist village and often markets and various events are held there. To the east of Romefort is the natural site that surrounds the resort of Lac de Vassivière. This 10 square kilometer lake has many beaches and plenty of water sports opportunities. The surrounding forests are ideal for hiking and mountain biking. A 15 minute drive away is a lovely recreational lake (see photo above). The beach of this lake (Lac de Sainte-Hélène) is supervised and suitable for all kinds of activities. Along the domain flows the Vienne which was fitted out in 2000 for the practice of canoeing. The hills are ideal for mountain biking through the forests, or racing bikes on small roads.
You can reach us by car, plane or train. There are many cheap flights from Great Britain to Limoges. You will travel from Limoges station to Saint-Léonard de Noblat station in half an hour. If you wish, we can pick you up at the station.

The interior of the house is beautiful and appealing to the eyes. The electric heating will keep you warm indoors in the cold weather conditions. The child-friendly property has a play equipment, private terrace, barbecue, and a garden.
