## Emplacement
Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer, a commune in the Var region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, is located on the peninsula of the same name, connected to the mainland by the isthmus of Les Sablettes. About fifteen kilometers south of Toulon, it helps to delimit the harbour. Originally composed of islets, it became a unique island in the Middle Ages, the island of Sépet, before being attached to the continent in the seventeenth century. Once focused on agriculture, it has been converted into tourism, with a marina and unspoilt coastline, where beaches and pine forests are popular. The city has a remarkable cultural dynamism, making it a well-known holiday destination.
