Well placed property with warm and generous hosts and a lovely big pool.

Nelly and Christian made us feel very much at home. Having a big pool to relax in was wonderful and the location is perfect for exploring all the nearby beaches. A fantastic family holiday!

Great holiday, peaceful and friendly

We arrived at Casa Nelly's at around 10pm on the Saturday night and everything was all waiting for us with keys, instructions, etc. We met Nelly and Christian the following morning and they showed us around the place. The location consists of 3 properties, one that backs onto the pool and the other two in the courtyard. We had the one with the garage, which was quite useful, but they're all as nice as each other. I cannot fault the location in any way. It was spotless and well supplied with fresh towels, etc. The Wi-Fi was fast enough to watch Netflix. Nelly & Christian are the nicest people you will ever meet (see other reviews). Christian even came round with a basket of chilled beers one afternoon while we were sunbathing by the pool. They leave you to get on with your holiday, but they are always around if you need anything, like advice about where to eat or where to shop. Their son kindly printed some maps off for me to show me the beaches. The nearest town is St Pierre d’Oleron, which is within cycling distance and has free parking, like most French towns. There are a number of large supermarkets, including Super-U, L’eclerc & Lidl, plus plenty of nice places to eat in the evening. The beach is 10-15 mins by bike although we preferred to drive down to the beaches between Ronce Les Bains and La Palmyre which are our favourites. We also found time to get up to the lighthouse at the northern tip of the island and also had an afternoon at Boyardville. The location is very peaceful and relaxing and we had the huge pool to ourselves for most of the time. Altogether a lovely experience and we will be recommending it to all our friends.

Localisation au centre de l'ile qui a permis de d'aller au 4 pts cardinaux à velo (1 par jour) pour découvrir les différents sites de l'ile, profiter de la superbe piscine en fin d'AM, et de recupérer vu le calme de l'emplacement. Location conforme à la présentation en ligne. Coquet, propre. Bien équipée avec une zone piscine splendide. Les propriétaires sont d’une gentillesse extrême. Malheureusement nous avons du écourter notre séjour pour des raisons personnelles. If faudra donc qu’on y retourne pour en profiter à fond.
