Highly recommended (except if you have difficulties with 3-4 floors of stairs). If you can overcome those steps, you will be welcomed as a family member, get plenty of suggestions on what to do (and how) and an amazing breakfast. The apartment I stayed was huge for one person, with airco and beautiful views of the streets. The view from the terrace is also amazing. If even back in Salerno, I will surely stay here again!

Quite and off the beaten path.

Antonio was awesome, I rented a scooter for a few days and was able to park in the courtyard, I asked for his suggestions for pizza and he WhatsApp'd me enough to keep me full for the entire week.. such a welcoming person, I look forward to a return

Amazing value for cost: the balcony and view were beautiful, very comfortable bedroom with lots of space, and clean bathroom with all the amenities you need. Breakfast was really good, as well. Overall, a fantastic experience-- my favourite part of Salerno was staying here :)

This B&B, hosted by Maria and Antonio, is a very comfortable and welcoming place within walking distance from the city centre, central station and seaside. Considering the spacious rooms and inclusive breakfast, the B&B is very affordable. For guests who have difficulties climbing stairs, the apartment is a little difficult to reach. Yet, in total, I would fully recommend Casa Maria to anyone going to Salerno and who is looking for an affordable, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.

La struttura si trova in pieno centro storico,comodissimo. A noi è stato assegnato un monolocale al secondo piano, alla nostra amica una meravigliosa camera mansardata al quarto piano, con una terrazza dalla quale si poteva godere di una vista spettacolare. Se proprio vogliamo trovare qualcosa di negativo, nel monolocale mi è mancato un televisore, vista la mia abitudine di addormentarmi con la tele accesa. Manca un ascensore e le scale sono abbastanza ripide, con gradini alti più del normale, dunque faticoso raggiungere il quarto piano, dove si consuma la prima colazione,preparata dalla proprietaria, la signora Maria. Caffè fresco, cappuccino, preparati con la moka, croissants, marmellate, fette biscottate, mentre di salato c'è solo il formaggino. Ho chiesto se avevano del prosciutto e la signora, essendone sprovvista, mi ha offerto la bresaola che avrebbe dovuto consumare lei. I proprietari vivono nella struttura, sempre presenti per soddisfare le esigenze dei clienti. La gentilezza e la cortesia della signora Maria e del figlio Antonio sono un valore aggiunto veramente apprezzabili. Per una nuova visita a Salerno ci tornerei sicuramente e lo consiglio vivamente.

Впечатления от Casa Maria - великолепные! Апартаменты находятся в историческом центре волшебного города Салерно, от вокзала идти минут 20 по фешенебельной центральной торговой улице. Хозяева - Мария и Антонио - делают все, чтобы гостям было комфортно и удобно, круассаны Марии на завтрак лучше любой пиццы! Добавьте бюджетную цену, и поймете, что это лучший вариант размещения для знакомства с Помпеями, Боскореале, Эрколанумом, Стабиями, Амальфитанским побережьем и даже Неаполем! ( электрички ходят великолепно) The experience of Casa Maria is great! The apartment is located in the historic center of the magical city of Salerno, from the station to walk 20 minutes on the fashionable Central shopping street. The hosts-Maria and Antonio-do everything to make guests comfortable, Maria's croissants for Breakfast are better than any pizza! Add a budget price and you will realize that this is the best accommodation option for exploring Pompeii, Boscoreale, Ercolanum, Stabia, Amalfi coast and even Naples! (trains go great)

Good location but not so great B&B

I booked Casa Maria B&B after seeing the highly rated reviews.The price is good, and it's located is in a nice area 20 mins walk from the train station, and the owner was friendly. The first night the hot water was not working, barely a trickle of cold water in the shower. The owner did come to look straight away, and he said it would work eventually. It didn't, so the first night I had a cold shower. He did get it fixed on the Monday. Also the Internet connection was slow and intermittent. On check-in the owner said he couldn't do anything until an 'expert' would fix it on the Monday. I guess that never happened, as it remained slow the rest of the stay. The two sofa beds were quite uncomfortable, and the apartment was in need of an update. The photos on the website are misleading (I guess the rooms in the photos were somewhere else). If you're on a tight budget, this might be an OK option, but there are better places to stay.

호텔 위치가 약간 애매하고 밤에는 골목안쪽이라 무서웠어요ㅠㅠ 그래도 가성비 방이 매우 넓고 룸컨디션도 매우 깨끗합니다. 사장님이 매우 친절하시구요. 아 그리고 저갔을때가 토요일이라 그런지 밤늦게까지 떠드는 사람들로 많이 시끄러웠어요 ㅠ 그래도 크게 나쁠것없는 숙소입니다.

Acogedora y recomendable estadía

Alojamiento con todos los servicios y muy bien situado. La acogida y trato de los anfitriones hacen que te sientas en casa, facilitando además muy buena información para las visitas. Salerno me ha sorprendido favorablemente. Me ha gustado mucho y es un punto estratégico para conocer la costa amalfitana y demás puntos de interés de la región. Sin duda, recomiendo y repetiría en Casa María. Ha sido una estancia muy satisfactoria. Gracias Antonio y María!!!

Cute B&B, but beware the stairs

Cute boutique B&B on top of an old buiding in old town. The place has a beautiful terrace with awesome views. The room was nice and comfortable, breakfast was good with a home made feel. However, please note that to get to the B&B you have to go up 4 flights of stairs, so if you have heavy luggage or mobility issues, you may want to stay away. The room was also on the fist floor of the fourth floor, so it's basically another flight of stairs. Also, the place started being noisy early in the morning, so we couldn't really sleep after 6:30. Anyway, good value for the money, fantastic views in a very nice Italian town with the classic southern Italy feel.

I made a mistake in booking this accommodation. However, it was my mistake and no real reflection on Casa Maria. This is 'shared accommodation' in the truest sense, the deluxe Suite is directly above the communal area where the family and any guests sit, chat and watch television. You can hear every word and so, if you do not want to engage, this feels somewhat intrusive... The accommodation is spotlessly clean and the welcome could not have been warmer. However, this was a honeymoon and there is no real sense of privacy in this accommodation. There are (in the region) of 80 x stairs up to the apartment - do not book if you have mobility problems ! We only stayed one night at Casa Maria. We could not have been made more welcome and Maria and her son fully understood when we checked out for a hotel. This booking was my mistake, but I would suggest this is not the place for a romantic trip. If you enjoy sociable, communal breakfasts and a sense of 'community' during your stay - do not hesitate !
